We’re kicking off our quarterly residency at one of our favourite places in London, Brilliant Corners! Join us tonite, TUE 17 JAN at 8pm, for an evening of deep listening, spiritual jazz, field recordings, avant-garde and meditative sounds on one of the best audiophile systems in London.

Food and cocktails are phenomenal, and accompanied with rare gems from our vinyl collection, together with our label’s sounds, you’re in for a treat!

Spiritmuse presents #196 - A Time for Healing. Our first show of 2022 is dedicated to our latest release, ‘A Time for Healing’, by the phenomenal Kahil El’Zabar Quartet.

Chicago’s legendary spiritual jazz shaman Kahil El’Zabar delivers yet another epic double LP’s worth of ancient/future/music for the mind, body and soul. From swinging jazz that sings of his Chicago pedigree, to talking drums and soothing spiritual grooves that reconnect Black Classical Music with its’ African roots.

As ever, the Chicago legend surrounds himself with the hottest young talent, with ‘sonic scientist’ Isaiah Collier on sax and reeds, the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble’s incredible Corey Wilkes on trumpet and keyboard wizard Justin Dillard on keys!

The show is packed with more gems from Don Cherry’s recently released material to African native sounds, while showcasing a couple of recent Spiritmuse Records releases by the incredible David Ornette Cherry and the deep, spiritual Cosmic Vibrations ft Dwight Trible, in memory of the group’s invaluable member, the legendary Derf Reklaw, that recently departed this planet.
