OFFICIAL! THFC have reached an agreement for Yang Min-Hyeok to join the Club from K League 1 side Gangwon FC, subject to work permit and international clearance.
Yang, who turned 18 in April, has agreed a deal that will run until 2030 and will join us in January, 2025.
Yang Min-Hyeok has signed a contract with the Club which shall run until 2030.
A winger, Yang has progressed through the K League Under-18 Championship to become a first team regular at Gangwon FC – making 25 appearances this season, contributing eight goals and four assists.
Internationally, Yang has represented South Korea at Under-16 and Under-17 levels and played in both the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and AFC Under-17 Asia Cup.

Ange Postecoglou on the week in Japan: “I’ve enjoyed it, great to be back. I’ve connected with some people from my old club, and from football in general, great to catch up with them. It’s been a good week, hard work, challenging conditions… and no respite for the lads, they’ve rolled their sleeves up and got on with it, all the staff are doing an outstanding job and now we move on to Korea, Sonny country!”

Ange Postecoglou on Mikey Moore and the squad: “Mikey, he should have had three! But, yes, the lads in the second half did really well. They were really bright, and they are trying to implement the stuff we’re putting into them. I thought all the young boys who came on in the second half, even the first half, Archie’s only 18 and we shouldn’t lose sight of that, I thought he did really well playing in an unfamiliar position. It was good to get Vic back, good to get Ben Davies back, overall, a lot of positives for us.”

Look, everyone can feel what the conditions are like, especially if you are here, and the boys have had a really strong week of training, to say the least, so I was really pleased with the way they went about things tonight. It wasn’t easy, but we played some good football, scored some really nice goals, probably could have had a couple more, overall, pleased with the effort. It was always going to be a good test for us, and that’s the challenge - the conditions, the opposition, as I said to the boys before the game, this is an opportunity for us to keep developing and improving to be ready for the start of the season, and I thought it was a positive step tonight.”

Ange Postecoglou on Yang Min-hyuk: "I'm well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over a couple of Korean players. They have made a fantastic impact across Europe, none bigger than our Sonny. He's an outstanding individual. So yes, we'll be looking far and wide for players. As you said, it's difficult for me to discuss."

Ange Postecoglou on transfers: "At this time of year it’s pretty hard for supporters because they don’t have all the information and it’s fair to say there’s plenty of misinformation out there. We’re working hard to bring players in and it’s a process that you sometimes have to be patient with. But in terms of what we set out to do, that’s still the plan and you have to stay disciplined with that. Sometimes the timings don’t work out and it doesn’t happen as quickly as you want and you don’t get them in at the right time but I thnk it’s really important you stay disciplined and not run off and chase other things. So, what we started with at the start of summer are still there, and I wouldn’t want to put timelines on it. A lot of that is out of our control and we just need to be patient. From where I sit at the moment we’re still in that phase where what we identified is still what we’re after."

OFFICIAL: Tottenham have reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille for the loan of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for the 2024/25 season, with an obligation that would see the move become permanent.
The Denmark midfielder joined us from Southampton in August, 2020, and in his four seasons here featured in 143 of our 152 Premier League matches, reaching 184 appearances for us in all competitions.
A starter in the 2021 Carabao Cup Final, Pierre’s finest moment in a Spurs shirt came against the team he’s now joining, when he fired home a late winner in the Stade Velodrome to secure top spot in Group D of the UEFA Champions League in November, 2022.
Pierre added 48 caps to his tally of 81 for Denmark during his four years at Spurs. During that time, he was part of the Danish team that reached the semi-finals of the European Championships in 2021 and captained his country for the first time in March, 2024, marking the occasion with a goal against Faroe Islands.

Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has confirmed that Harry Kane won't feature against Spurs in Seoul, South Korea on 3 August: “Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano and Kingsley Coman won't be there, but then hopefully for the first cup game.”

Eric Dier is expected to face his old club in South Korea and then again a week later at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
