With Christmas around the corner, we asked the Met Office, the UK’s national weather service, to share some festive weather records:

🌨️ The deepest snow? 47cm in Perthshire, Scotland (1981).
☀️ The sunniest Christmas? 7.5 hours of sunshine in Cornwall and Wales (1944).
🌡️ The warmest Christmas? A balmy 15.6°C in Devon (1920).
🌧️ The wettest Christmas? 165.4mm of rain in Gwynedd, Wales (2015).
❄️ The coldest Christmas? A frosty -18.3°C in Durham (1878).
