As the shadow of The Dronex System looms larger, threatening to dismantle the vibrant soul of our dancefloors, we turn to a legend who was there when it all began, a pioneer who reshaped the soundscape of electronic music and rewrote its rules.

DJ Hell, a name etched into the foundations of dance music history, steps forward as the next figure in our awakening. From the acid-soaked nights of Munich to the electroclash revolutions of Berlin, Hell has been a relentless force, blending the experimental spirit of German electronic pioneers with the raw energy of global club culture.

Since 1978, he has defied genre boundaries, New Wave, EBM, House, Techno, crafting a sonic arsenal that refuses to conform. Through his seminal label, International Deejay Gigolos, he has unleashed tracks that sparked movements and shattered expectations.

Signal Restored: The first guide has arrived.

For too long, humanity has drifted under the shadow of The Dronex System, a silent force dimming creativity and erasing connection. Cartulis emerges not as resistance, but as an awakening. A cultural movement that stirs the mind, frees the body, and reconnects souls through rhythm.

Chapter 1 begins with Lake Haze LIVE.
Through his persona, Gonçalo Salgado crafts sonic pathways that transcend the noise, inviting us to feel, move, and reconnect. With releases on Crème Organization, Cultivated Electronics, Shall Not Fade, and Unknown to the Unknown, his sound breaks through the monotony — a guide leading us toward forgotten frequencies of life.

Having shared sonic realms with visionaries like Helena Hauff, Intergalactic Gary, and Unit Moebius, Lake Haze LIVE will deliver an experience that dissolves boundaries and awakens the pulse within us all.

Cartulis Live Mix Series #7 | Sohrab

For the next instalment of our Cartulis Live Mix Series, we’re thrilled to welcome Sohrab, a name synonymous with forward-thinking soundscapes and impeccable selection.

This mix was recorded in May 2024 at the party at in Chengdu, China. Perched on the 21st floor of a building, TAG is a deeply underground venue.

Born in Trieste, Italy, with Iranian roots, and shaped by years spent in London’s underground scene, Sohrab embodies the fusion of diverse influences. As a DJ, his sets effortlessly weave through genres, delivering potent, futuristic, and deeply energetic performances. As a producer, his signature melodic flair has earned him recognition on labels like , , and .

Sohrab’s journey through some of the finest parties and venues, Undersound, Art of Dark, Fold, Les Enfants, Mtkvarze, and, of course, Cartulis, has cemented his reputation as a perfectionist whose music speaks louder than words. His mix for this series captures that essence, delivering a snapshot of his dynamic artistry.

Since 2010, Samad has been with us, his artistry evolving alongside Cartulis. Not only did he create our iconic logo—a design of two hands framing a vision, capturing the depth of the human soul—but he’s also the artist behind each flyer that represents our events. His work brings our ideas to life, adding a unique visual story to every moment we share.

Thank you for joining us for another amazing edition of Cartulis! The lineup was dear to us, and it did not disappoint throughout the entire journey. Special thanks, as usual, to everyone involved: ravers, guest artists, and the entire team behind FOLD and StarLane.

Our next stop will be in Brussels on the weekend of July 26th for a very special edition and collaboration. We are very excited about what we will bring—more details coming soon.
