The team had a blast at BAFTA Guru Live 23 last Sunday! Our own Cathy Alford and Amy Osterley led a highly successful CV workshop, speaking with many established and aspiring media workers on how to improve their CVs, find work, and advance their careers.

The session was a great success, and we're so grateful to BAFTA for putting on such an insightful and useful weekend program. We look forward to continuing our work with BAFTA to help the next generation of media professionals achieve their goals.

Last week the historic Edinburgh TV Festival - Supported by Screen Scotland took place. A variety of themes were discussed, from Louis Theroux’s examination surrounding the power and passion that TV can foster, to the detailed exploration of the streaming world’s big players. However, an unavoidable and relatively common theme discussed throughout the festival centred around the current freelance crisis.

How as an industry can we better support those suffering the most from the current crisis we find ourselves in?

One essential takeaway for anyone struggling in the media industry is to speak with The Film and TV Charity. They are able to support many of those who are suffering through the media crisis.

We are delighted to report that the opening day of the Edinburgh TV Festival - Supported by Screen Scotland was a great success. The team attended a brilliant keynote speech by Louis Theroux on the passion and power of television. Louis's insights into the industry were fascinating and thought-provoking.

We are also looking forward to day two of the festival, where we will see the latest shows and trends in the industry. We are confident that this will be a valuable opportunity for us to learn and network with other industry leaders.

Hasbro has named two new bosses for its entertainment division, as the toymaker looks to expand its reach into the world of movies, TV, and streaming.
Sarah Davis has been promoted to president of global brands and franchise strategy, while Brian Goldner has been named executive chairman. Davis will oversee Hasbro's portfolio of brands, including Transformers, My Little Pony, and Power Rangers. Goldner will focus on long-term strategic planning and business development.

The changes come as Hasbro looks to capitalise on the growing popularity of its brands in the entertainment space. The company has recently released a number of successful films and TV shows based on its properties, including "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" and "My Little Pony: A New Generation."
