We're ecstatic to announce Madman Entertainment has acquired Australian & New Zealand rights to YOUR FAT FRIEND!
Madman Films has acquired all rights for Jeanie Finlay’s award-winning, The Grierson Trust shortlisted film, and will be releasing the film in cinemas in October, including a preview Q&A tour in key cities.
This follows a highly successful UK theatrical and sold-out preview tour, as well as multiple festival awards including the audience award at Sheffield DocFest last June.
We can't wait for Australian and New Zealand audiences to fall in love with this vital film.

A STORY OF BONES recounts the discovery of an unmarked mass burial ground of 9,000 enslaved African unearthed by Annina Van Neel, Chief Environmental Officer of Saint Helena’s troubled £285m airport project, paid for by UK taxpayers. Haunted by this historical injustice, Annina now fights alongside renowned African American preservationist Peggy King Jorde and a group of disenfranchised islanders - many of them descendants of the formerly enslaved - for the proper memorialisation of these forgotten victims.

BEYOND THE BRIDGE is coming to Milwaukee on August 1st as a part of our impact tour across the US! This event includes a screening of A Bigger Vision Films’s crucial documentary on how to solve homelessness in America.
Following this special screening, Derek Mosley, Director of Marquette University Law's Lubar Center will moderate a panel conversation with James Mathy, Housing Administrator for Milwaukee County, film participant and consultant Jeffrey Stingley, consultant Robert Itzin, Amy Lindner, President and CEO of United Way, and Wendy Weckler, Executive Director of Hope House. We will also be joined by Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

This month we landed in Washington DC at the 2024 National Conference on Ending Homelessness to host a screening of BEYOND THE BRIDGE, the 6th stop of the film’s national tour.
Following an introduction from Aimee Hendrigan, Executive Vice-President of Melville Charitable Trust, the film was screened for service providers, system leaders, advocates, and people with lived experience of homelessness from around the country.
