TV Freelancer Networking Event
It was such a genuine pleasure to host our freelancer networking event at The Film and TV Charity HQ last night in association with FTVC & Bectu.
Despite the state of the industry right now it was inspirational to witness such positivity, support & camaraderie amongst all the attendees. A huge thanks to Marcus Ryder, CEO from The Film & TV Charity for his opening speech and the wonderful representatives from Bectu - James Taylor Liz Biggs & Arun Devasia. Big thanks also to Bethan Davies Wykes, Mike Hird & Louise Benson at FTVC for providing the space and for all their support.

Thank you to everyone who helped us trial a new multi session mixer event last Thursday. It was a brilliant evening where we were able to host an open house discussion about how best we can encourage companies to respond to applicants, we provided regional break out rooms for networking opportunities and a informative webinar on how you can manage your well-being at this time! We will be hosting another one soon! Let us know in comments if you came along!

My challenge for you is to request 5 testimonials from people you have worked with previously to publish on your TM profile. You can request testimonials from people you have previously worked with directly from your TM account (just head to EDIT PROFILE) so lets try it out.
If you’ve sent off that millionth CV and want to do something proactive while you wait to hear back, getting a testimonial up on your TM profile is a great way to get your profile looking 💯, add advocacy to your CV and get you networking.
Also, it will hopefully give you a boost knowing that other people think you are fantastic at what you do (because, well, it’s the truth!) and is an easy way to remind people you are here!
Basic users can publish one testimonial to their profile, Pro users can publish unlimited testimonials - get requesting, and see what comes back. Comment below when you’ve done it or head on over to the hub and let me know how you’ve got on over there too....good luck!
