what a great way to spend a Saturday. Great bar (Bradley’s Spanish Bar… shhh don’t tell anyone about it) then onto for an off the charts dinner and wine… then to the reason we escaped the dog for a night to my mate no@leemartin394 60th (although he doesn’t really look it.!!) .As well as being a footballing mate for over 30 years he’s also a hugely talented picture editor and photographer … some of his stuff was on display and happy to say some of it’s coming home with us as it was so good. It was 25 years ago today that I was asked to photograph the legend that was
⚡️David Bowie ⚡️as he performed at a secret gig at the Astoria and afterwards I was invited to snap him as he relaxed at an underground club nearby called POP with his good mates Mick Jagger and Pete Townshend.

RIP Anwar Hussein .
A gentle man … a father, grandfather, husband and an amazing photographer with stories of the rich and famous that would enthrall you for hours. He took this picture of my younger self having ridden my motorbike all the way to the south of France to visit him and Caroline on their lovely vineyard near Bordeaux.
One of the original’s who changed the way we looked at celebrities from taking photos of Prince Charles as a 20 year old touring the world, appearing in Le Mans as Steve McQueen’s photographer to riding with Robert Redford in Montana…
You can put the camera down now friend.
