Having spent the week in winter warmers and hearing about the tornado hitting Download Festival we thought we'd give you our essential guide to a muddy Festival.

1. Embrace the mud
2. Wellies ( be prepared you might lose one in the churned up mud)
3. Waterproof Jacket ( being damp and drunk is no fun for anyone)
4. Thick socks - for the wellies ( that was a reminder to pack your wellies)
5. Make sure your tent is free of holes or tears, or there will be a tears. Buying a can of waterproof fabric spray and applying it before the festival will ensure that raindrops will roll right off your tent.
