Create a magazine both as a mobile app, website and in print from scratch. Shoot and edit videos for the web and report your experiences on the daily blog. INTRODUCING: Our new post A-Level course, "The Apprentice Multimedia Journalist"

Why spend three or even four years studying for a journalism degree, when we can teach you all you need to know in 12 weeks? Our post A-level certificate will save you thousands of pounds worth of debt and set you in the job market years ahead of your peers. But you don’t need to “miss out” on the university experience – at PMA you will be working and socialising with people your own age. But forget about falling asleep in the back of long, boring lectures. Journalism is a practical skill and we’ll treat you like working journalists from day one. Of course, you’ll also get a few formal exams, course work and a graduation day attended by top publishers and editors. It’s work hard — play hard at PMA. And at the end, you’ll be on your way to a successful media career. Be prepared to write off three months, but also be prepared to have an amazing, life-changing experience.

7/3/14 GRADUATION DAY — 2 GRADS HAVE JOBS ALREADY!

The market for PMAers is as buoyant as ever. Hywel Roberts has started work as a reporter on HR Magazine, and in a week's time Lauren Houghton starts her new job at Big Hospitality.

The other postgrads are on first and second interviews for titles ranging across consumer and business publishing.

The guest editors dished out some great advice and really sold their profession as the best job in the world. But we knew that anyway!

Polly Bryan makes Deputy Ed
Polly did our course in 2012 after despairing about ever getting a job in equine journalism. Her first job was with Polo Times. And they obviously value her contribution as she's been made deputy editor.
Polly says:"Just to let you know that I have been promoted, and am now deputy editor, which is exciting. It's a lot of work, but plenty more in the way of big interviews and features, as well as staying in charge of everything online etc. I'm also off to China again on Monday!"
Well done Polly!

Lucy Ingham called to let us know about her promotion by Future PLC, the Digital Publisher of 2013. She is now editor of three digital titles: Future Rail, Design and Build Review (plus a new launch into the consumer tech space). She graduated from the winter 2012 course proving that her digital journalism skills are exactly what publishers are looking for.
