Welcome to the Happy Voice Podcast

The Happy Voice Podcast is a series of conversations with people from all walks of life based around their experiences of singing.

I’m Heather Maîr Thomas, I’m a vocalist and coach and I’m fascinated by people’s, often complex, relationships with our voices!

As a holistic singing teacher for over 25 years I’ve had hundreds of fascinating conversations with people, of all ages and from varied backgrounds, sharing anecdotes about their voices, their singing and its impact on their lives.

In the Happy Voice Podcast I am bringing those conversations out into the world for everyone to hear!

I’ll be talking to a wide variety people - including singers, non-singers, shy singers, a doctor, a psychologist, a sound healer, a professional songwriter, a comedian, a vicar, a contestant on a TV singing show... !

Everyone has some kind of vocal identity ...

All of us have a singing story, a vocal history, but, unless singing is on our personal radar we tend not to consider it.

I am on a mission to get those conversations started, and the stories heard. Our voices matter. Singing has enormous mental, physical and spiritual health benefits and we all have a right to experience them.

I will be hosting live sessions in the Facebook group and on my website happyvoice.co.uk, discussing issues that emerge from the Podcasts, and offering practical singing tips for those who may want to develop vocally.
