This is achieved by blending innovative videography skills with documentary story telling, to capture both the formal and the less formal moments of the day, and mixing both music and candid interviews to provide a film that you will treasure forever. Neil studied at the University of Wales, Newport and achieved an honours degree in Documentary Film and Television. During this time Neil made film
s both as an undergraduate and privately under commission. He was nominated for awards at NaSTA, Ffresh and in 2012 his film “Steve and Hobbit” was one of only three films shortlisted by the University for the factual section of the Royal Television Society (RTS) awards. During this period Neil also made a number of wedding films, utilising his documentary skills and realised the potential for a record of more than just the standard wedding shots. From a technical perspective Neil mainly uses DSLR cameras to shoot your wedding film. They achieve a better and more professional result with a greater depth of field, sharper picture and the ability to handle low light situations such as the ‘first dance’ in greater clarity. All of this in stunning High Definition (HD). The film is edited using Final Cut Pro, Motion and Sound Track Pro. Broadly, Neil delivers a film that utilises his documentary, story telling skills as well as his technical editorial skills that can not be achieved by a traditional portrait photographer or videographer.
