The internet's community for car enthusiasts 🚗💨 Car Throttle was founded in January 2009 by Adnan Ebrahim from his University bedroom. His motivation?

Wanting to create the next big car brand made for the new breed of digital natives. In July 2011, he graduated and jumped into running CT full-time and started to build what is now a global . In July 2012, Car Throttle gained backing from Passion Capital (Skype, Last.fm, AOL) and in 2013 was shortlisted at The Europas in the Best Audio, Video or Entertainment Startup category.

Police in the UK have seized a Tesla Cybertruck, which isn't certified for use on roads in the country due to pedestrian safety laws.

As the vehicle is registered and insured abroad, it's illegal for a permanent resident of the UK to use it here.

In a statement to Car Throttle, Greater Manchester Police said the owner will have to prove legal ownership and correct insurance to have the vehicle returned, noting that's something they will "likely struggle with."

Japan’s yearly showcase of its automotive and aftermarket parts industry has been and gone for another year – here are our highlights and lowlights of the 2025 edition.

The car world is always brightened up in January by the yearly Tokyo Auto Salon, the more fun-loving of the Japanese capital’s two motor shows.

While the biennial Tokyo Mobility Show is defined by buzzwords like ‘electric’, ‘autonomous’ and, well, ‘mobility’, TAS is an opportunity for the people who run Japan’s car companies to say “actually, we’re car enthusiasts, and we’re going to prove it.”

The 2025 edition was no different, and brought plenty of surprises, some rather exciting and some a little underwhelming.

Here’s a roundup of the best and worst of this year’s show.
