On Saturday I heard the news that the legend that is and will always be Jason Kaye, left this earth.
I was broken. After seeing him so much recently and having him up for a show on the radio it was a huge shock.
Honestly, he was one of the nicest guys in the Garage scene and always had a smile, even when he was not happy with a set up or what the equipment was saying.

I have read lots of posts from everyone sharing their stories and memories of J.

One of my best memories is when he joined Passion FM.
It was the Sunday evening show and we'd wanted him to join for ages. He was running late and was calling me every 2 mins telling me where he was.
When he turned up, he literally floated up the stairs dropped his record bag and pulled a vinyl out and slapped it down all in one movement. Lol (the studio was the 'fabric Store' one in Finsbury Park for the radio heads that know!)
Without taking his jacket off he took the mic, pressed play and (I don't know how I remember this like I do, but I do and have the recording to back it up) and said-
'Yes yes, Jason Kaye in the house. Many roads have been travelled, many clubs have been blessed and many ravers have been met this weekend peope.'
The track in the background was Oya Como Va.
He held that show for a good while and it ended peoples weekend in the best way as he would always play proper forgotten garage and house.

He found so many artists and released so many absolute bangers of records its unreal.
From Top Buzz days to Saturday just gone, thank you for the music, memories and friendship brother. 💙
