Statement from the family of Victor Onie Williams

We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support following the tragic loss of Victor Onie Williams. Your kind words, memories, and condolences have brought us comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

As we mourn the loss of our beloved Effion as he was known to us, we kindly request that everyone respects our family's privacy as we grieve and remember our son, grandson, and nephew.

We are very proud of his accomplishments, both in the world of fashion and entertainment, as well as his time at Fourah Bay College where he was a third year law student.

It is clear that he touched many lives during his time with us. We understand that his impact extended far beyond our family, but we kindly request that you are mindful of what you post on social media. Please refrain from spreading false rumours and speculation, and allow us to mourn our loved one peacefully.

Effion was always loving and respectful, and his absence has left a void in our hearts that will never be filled. He deserves to be mourned with the same dignity and respect that he put out into the world. Though we are devastated by his passing, we find solace in the memories we shared with him and the knowledge that his legacy lives on through the lives he touched.

We appreciate your continued support, prayers, and understanding during this challenging time. Effion is dead. We beg of you, now, let him rest in peace. There is a GOD.
