FIRE OUTBREAK LEAVES 6 HOMELESS IN FREETOWN

Fire outbreak in the Central Business District of Sierra Leone capital, Freetown has left six people homeless. The fire engulfed an apartment at Wellington Street leaving properties worth millions of Leones destroyed.

Situated at 44 Upper Wellington Street, the house got burnt down completely. Fire Officer from the National Fire Force, Edith Koroma told AYV that the cause of the fire can only be attributed to electrical problems.

Freetown City Council Refunds Le187M to ACC

Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission says it has recovered Le187Million cash, in respect of the case against the Mayor of Freetown and the Freetown City Council, in full settlement of the established case of ineligible and improper payment to a non-staff of Council that was flagged by the Auditor-General's report 2019.
The payment thereby brings to a close the issue. The recovery is part of the ACC's civil non-conviction-based asset recovery processes.

A day we will always remember.
We remember and celebrate the life and legacy of a great man Amb. Moseray Fadika, six years after his death.

Amb. Fadika was a great business leader, African champion, and a committed philanthropist. He was a proud son of Africa who became father of a generation.

We are grateful that his legacy lives on through the work of the Moseray Fadika Trust Foundation, and other programmes he created – making a difference in the lives of young people and communities.

We continue to be inspired by his work, with pride, gratitude, and admiration for the great man whose memory it was set up in. We are incredibly proud of the modest work that we do at the Trust Foundation and can only imagine that Ambassador Fadika would have been equally proud of our work too.

As we remember Ambassador Moseray Fadika on this day, this is also an opportunity for us, on behalf of the family, and especially the children -Tigida Fadika, Nancy Fadika, Marie Fadika, his wife Mrs Khadija Fadika, the entire family, friends and the Trust Foundation, to thank all of you who have continued to support our work, sent messages and paid your respects in so many ways to remember and keep the legacy of a remarkable person. These acts of kindness have been a huge source of help and inspiration, in keeping Ambassador Moseray Fadika’s legacy alive.

May Ambassador Fadika’s soul continues to rest in peace and may we, each and every one of us, thank God for someone who made many people happy and inspired. Moseray Fadika Trust Foundation.
