Issue 2 of NYM Mag has finally dropped and the digital issue is available to buy on our site now.

Massive thank yous are in order to everyone involved in making, shaping and creating this one. It’s been a long time coming but we are really proud of the result and thrilled to have worked with even more incredible talent.

Shoutout to who designed the iconic front cover for issue 2.

The theme is “Body Image, The Human Experience” and we hope you love it.

Enjoy!

Are you or your company unsure how to celebrate and show support Disability Pride month? Support the work of disabled creatives with NYM magazine.

One billion people around the world live with some form of disability, making up around 15% of the global population. Yet during Disability Pride Month there is little public support of the community from companies. This does mean however, that those who do engage and support are highly visible to our community.

Sponsor NYM magazine, book an Ad space or hire our team to speak for your event, podcast or show. We are a disability perspective led magazine that shares the work of disabled & ally creatives, journalists & writers.

Contact [email protected] with [sponsorship/ ad/speaker request]
..to be part of the disability pride month celebration & the movement for disability equity in the creative industry. Your support will help us pay all of our disabled & ally creatives, our team & retain NYM for issues to come.

We are a team of Disabled creatives and non-Disabled allies working collaboratively to produce a publication that we see as a new benchmark for Disability representation, a showcase of Disabled talent and an example of best practice in working together.

Calling disabled & ally creatives! We're excited to announce the theme for NYM magazine issue 2 is 'Body image - the human experience' and once again we're looking for contributors to be featured.

*As always we pay all of our contributors
Our pitch deadline is Friday July 29, midnight.
Visual artists, illustrators, photographs, artists, designers, film makers apply here https://forms.gle/CG1XFY8CNban4m4t9

Issue 2 will primarily be a visual essay, this means that we're looking for creatives who's work visually holds its own and explores the subject matter. In true NYM style, we've left it quite open, so dig deep, take this opportunity to address what body image and the human experience means to you personally, in your culture, in society, what it doesn't mean, or what it should mean. Be flippant, be bold, sink your teeth into it and have fun!

Whilst image is the queen here, there will be copy to support, there'll be interviews and all that s*xy stuff, and that will be our next call out. So poets and writers watch this space.

As long as you identify as disabled or as an ally, we welcome your response.
