Leadership is not tested when everything is smooth. It is tested in moments of anger.

Nehemiah was furious..But he paused before acting..That pause changed everything.

In your workplace, business, ministry or home; your words carry weight.

This week: Don’t let emotion destabilise your assignment.

We love progress. But God loves transformation.

Nehemiah wasn’t just rebuilding Jerusalem. God was exposing injustice, correcting culture, and refining hearts in the process.

Sometimes the tension you feel isn’t opposition. It’s exposure. And exposure is mercy.

Before you move into next week’s assignments, pause and ask yourself: What is this season revealing about me?

Growth?
Resistance?
Healing?
Surrender?

The wall was rising, but so were the hearts of the people.

If this season feels uncomfortable, it may be because God is building more than your project.

Share one thing this season is teaching you.

Not every challenge is external.
Sometimes the tension is within the team.

Today on Jola Speaks, we’re talking about something real:

You can have vision.
You can have strategy.
You can even have unity.

And still struggle… because people are not perfect.

The question is not:
“Why are they like this?”

The better question is:
“Lord, give me wisdom to lead and love well.”

Leadership is easy when everyone behaves.

But real building? It tests your patience, discernment, and prayer life.

Today’s episode reminds us that not every difficult person is an enemy. Sometimes they are part of the assignment.

Tell me in the comments:
Have you ever had to grow because of someone difficult?

18/02/2026

Ever worked under someone who only gives instructions but never sets the example?

That difference right there is the difference between managing and leading.

In Nehemiah 4, the wall wasn’t built because someone shouted orders. It was built because the leader laboured too. He stood guard too. He sacrificed too.

Leadership isn’t about power. It’s about participation.

If God is raising you in your workplace, business, ministry or home, this episode will recalibrate how you see influence.

You can be advancing publicly and collapsing privately.

That was Nehemiah 5.

The wall was going up. But internally, people were mortgaging land, selling children, and crying out. And if Nehemiah had ignored it, the entire project could have collapsed.

This is leadership maturity: Not just fighting enemies outside, but healing tension inside.

Happy new week, everyone 🤍

We’re starting this week with a new episode that hits closer than we often admit.

Not every battle comes from outside.

Sometimes the real threat to what you’re building isn’t critics, competitors, or visible opposition. It’s internal frustration. Silent resentment. Unaddressed injustice. Leadership distance.

In Nehemiah 5, the wall was rising, but the people were breaking. And that almost destroyed everything.

If you’re building something — a business, a ministry, a career, a family — this episode will challenge you to look inward, not just outward.

Sometimes we think changing course means we didn’t hear God clearly. But flexibility isn’t doubt, it’s discernment.

As we build families, businesses, ministries, and teams, God doesn’t just care about the outcome. He stays involved in the process, guiding each step along the way.

This is your reminder to keep asking, keep listening, and stay adaptable as He leads.

Sometimes the assignment stays the same, but God changes the strategy.

What worked before may stop working.
The pressure may increase.
The resistance may grow louder.

That doesn’t mean you missed God.
It may mean He’s teaching you how to build wisely, not just faithfully.

From Nehemiah’s story, we learn that flexibility is not weakness, it’s discernment.
It’s knowing when to adjust without abandoning the vision.

A gentle reminder for leaders, builders, and anyone working with people:
check on your people.

Not just the work.
Not just the output.
But the emotional, mental, and spiritual signs too.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is pause, pray, and pay attention.
Healthy people build better.
