Been listening to this album for many years but got my vinyl copy recently and listened through it again the other day , every track is amazing , some albums you find yourself skipping some tracks , but not on this album , a true classic . Thank you

I was watching the De La Soul Daisy experience tribute the other week .
I managed to stay awake for the first two hours and DJ’s were playing some amazing music. I was Shazamming every track I didn’t recognise , which was about 80% of them . This was one of the tracks …
I mean I’ve always been into hip-hop but over the last year or so I’ve been really delving a bit deeper and there’s just so much stuff , so much amazing stuff out there .anyway check out the baseline in this track . Play it loud and enjoy :)

It feels like Xmas when a record gets delivered , but my word if ever a tune captured the spirit of early 90’s old school rave , this is it . I love the sample taken from DJ’s unite … whenever I hear that sound it sends tingles up my spine and takes me back to The orange parties at The Rocket early 90’s 🚀 🍊and the bass . Orange at the Rocket . I was lucky enough to be 19 years old when these parties began , and boy were they amazing dos … all vibe … just all vibe … one love … I look back on those days with such fondness. Anyway check out this mix with many classics from these parties.

One of the things I love about music is you’ve never heard it all , it’s ever evolving but also some music which I love I didn’t discover until many years after their release :)

2 examples of this for me this year .

1- Discovered Midnight Marauders by a tribe called quest ,released in 1993 .

on a whatsapp music page set up by a friend …someone put up electric relaxation and I was hooked and delved a bit deeper . wow! What an album , if you’ve never heard the whole album go and have a listen , absolute classic . Not sure how I missed this but loving it now .

2- Discovered All Natural “Capital D “Hip hop band , released in 2000 .
some friends and I rented out a room in Brighton to watch DeLa Soul earlier in the year , after the gig we continued to party back at the flat and my friends were taking turns in playing tracks , and one of my mates was playing tracks from All Natural No Additives No preservatives. I’d never heard of them before and loved what I was hearing and wanted to discover more ..I’ve since bought 3 of their albums on vinyl .
