In October, NHS Blood and Transplant triggered an “Amber Alert” meaning hospitals were asked to put in place management plans to protect blood stocks and ensure blood was prioritised for patients who needed it the most. Today, we welcomed the team, including Calvin Campbell, who shared his inspirational story of his life experience with sickle cell disease. They're staying here at Bankside for the rest of the day to help people across the Omnicom Group find out their blood type and book in for a donation session. Winter is always a challenging time for blood stock levels, and 175,000 new donors are needed to register and donate blood in 2022/23. This month we have, and continue to, celebrate with a whole host of content. We've been joined by the inspirational Lydia Amoah, founder of The Black Report, who discussed the importance of authenticity for organisations and brands. We also shared podcasts and weekly snapshots that highlighted pieces of work, reading, and culture created by Black artists and creators. And, as we come to the end of this important month, we are taking part in another networking event for the Multicultural Network.

Last month we hosted our MG Summit and summer party. We were absolutely delighted to be joined by our partners for our day of innovation, discussion, and thought leadership. The day gave us a chance to reconnect with people from across the agency, whilst learning and being inspired by the industry we love.

Today we had our Cake Bake Sale for Ukraine. Our wonderful MGers showed off their top baking skills for a great cause, with 100% of proceeds going to the International Committee of the Red Cross, who are actively helping those affected by the Ukraine crisis. A huge shout out to our incredible MG Gives Back team for organising and hosting!

We are delighted to announce that we have yet again received our Gold Accreditation for our 11th consecutive year! As a result of winning Gold again, this means that we have also retained our CPD Platinum Accreditation for sustained CPD excellence. We couldn't be prouder to achieve this level of recognition, a huge thanks to all the teams involved and our wonderful MGers!

We were over the moon to have won the MediaWeek Awards Agency of The Year 2021 award earlier this year! In what has been more than a challenging year for the industry, to see everyone back together, celebrating what we love, was incredible.

We are thrilled to be one of the agencies backing the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) Media Climate Charter as it launches today. Including a carbon calculator, to allow agencies to measure the carbon footprint of media plans, the Charter will help us all transition to a zero-carbon future.

We are proud to announce our partnership with Media Trust and the Garfield Weston Foundation to support the strategic communications of 29 UK environmental charities.

For two weeks in June, all MGers will be competitively working on briefs, which will be presented to a judging panel made up of a range of leaders across the industry.

This partnership follows MG OMD and Omnicom Media Group UK's wider commitment to Ad Net Zero.
