Today, we were proud to support John Bream “The Flying Fish” in his (newly created) world record attempt for “the highest jump into water (40m/131ft) from an aircraft”.

John successfully jumped from a helicopter into open water just off of the coast of Hayling Island all in aid of raising awareness around and prevention of veteran su***de.

Various media outlets including the BBC also covered the event, but we were proud to be there helping support by organising a Facebook Live Stream of the event itself on page.

It's been a while since we last posted on the blog. That's because we've been super busy with a whole array of clients!

That being said, we've been very fortunate to help promote an upcoming world record attempt by an ex-para called John Bream who will be looking to jump 200ft into water from a helicopter!

Such an amazing project is all in aid of raising money and awareness around depression and veteran su***de. We all know someone who has suffered. With military personnel taking a much bigger brunt than just regular civvies, it's time for the word to spread that there is support out there and vets can still continue to make a positive difference, even after serving their country.

As a business support service, we've taken on this project for free and instead of blindly sponsoring, we have offered to do as much of the advertising across social media and news outlets as we possibly can, with no charge. We feel that this is a much better way in which we can help such a great cause.

John is currently going through some intense training around the U.K. so that he can be fit and ready for his jump. He begins his helicopter training in August... EXCITING!

John will be looking to make his attempt near the end of September 2020 and will be looking to do this jump, from a helicopter, opposite the War Memorial based in Southsea (Portsmouth).... The very same that both The Queen and Donald Trump were at in 2019.

So, back at the tail end of January, we started working with a new client.

Specifically, this client is in a very tricky industry to advertise with using Facebook ads.

With the client putting their trust in us, since the start of February we have been able to grow their social media page from just over 3,500 page likes, to almost 7,500 page likes. With ongoing active engagement on a daily basis.

The client has seen an increase in sales, but most importantly for them, an increase in REPEAT BUSINESS. Something they were previously not accustomed to, or even prepared to to deal with.

It’s been tough to find the right ways to approach people who like the page and interact with the business. People like it for varying reasons.

Stepping up our game on video content has been a key driver through all of this, with videos being released weekly, as well as regular updates throughout the month on both what’s coming up, as well as what has happened and the reviews people have shared.

I wanted to share some of the Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) snapshots that has been happening while we have been going through this lockdown pandemic situation. It’s not to show off. They are at best, average results, but the point I’d like to highlight is that even during a pandemic situation, you can still get your message, your brand, out there for people to interact with and still see a return on your marketing spend... No matter how difficult of an industry you are in to try and market to 😉

While we haven’t come to the end of the journey together yet, I wanted to highlight what persistence, good communication, understanding your clients needs, and liaising directly with and on a regular basis with the Facebook Marketing Team can do to help grow your business, no matter what it is you do.

How’s everyone holding up on this new world we seem to have entered?

I don’t know about you, but having freedoms taken away not through choice is a very scary reality that’s dropped into my lap. Basics like hitting the gym, going swimming, even getting a hair cut. All things which usually wouldn’t be a problem, now are considered major no no’s to go and do!

I wanted to share this great little extract from a wider publication which was released recently.

Research into resilience has established the following key factors for managing in difficult circumstances:

• Learning realistic optimism
• Using our strengths
• Developing gratitude
• Accepting what we can’t change
• Facing fears
• Asking for support
• Taking responsibility for looking after ourselves

A metanalysis assessing 60 studies found that those with higher levels of resilience had less depression; less anxiety; a more positive outlook and more life satisfaction.

Are you struggling? Don’t hesitate to reach out. This new world we’re in we NEED to make connections. As adults we almost forget how to make friends. This pushes us to go back to how we were as kids. Not being afraid to go talk to someone at the park, or asking to kick the ball around the green.

We’re all adults, let’s reach out. Support each other, help those who need it and best part of it all, we don’t even need to leave our homes to do it!

Are you trying to hard to juggle ALL of the social media platforms that are out there?

Do you even know what type of message you’re trying to convey?

Here are 3 simple steps to consider when utilising you’re social media avenues....

1. K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Silly!

Make sure your message is easy to understand and is aimed at the audience you’re trying to captivate. Don’t put on an Oxford University style lecture of your message is aimed at 5 year olds learning to read... it just doesn’t work! - K.I.S.S.!

2. A picture paints a thousand words... but a video leaves you captivated!

Use images or videos as part of your message. It’s scientifically proven that more people pay attention when they have pictures/videos as part of the message you’re trying to get across, over just few words on a screen.

3. Get to know your audience!

If you’ve been a brick and mortar store with very little online presence, in this current pandemic, you find you have to work in very constricted circumstances. No face to face customers or passing trade. When posting content or starting ads, get to know your audience. Interact with them. Allow them to feel immersed, to feel a part of your brand and the transitional journey you’re going on. Make them feel wanted! Just like you would if you were face to face with them.

These are just 3 really simple steps you can implement today that will really help you stand out.

Weekly Round Up 25.01.20

Hey! Rich here at the Project Qube! We're a little late releasing our weekly blog post because things have just been SO crazy!

This week we helped a charity, London Gypsies and Travellers successfully make it through their Trusted Charity Level 1 assessment!

If you don't know, the Trusted Charity mark is an industry standard in showing that charitable organisations are running and operating at a specific level. You could relate this to similar accreditations as ISO9001:2015.

On the back of this success, we have also aligned with a new customer who is looking towards their social media presence being grown through social media advertisements! Watch this space!

Hey, Rich here at The Project Qube! We’re going to try and share a weekly roundup of projects we’ve worked on with some of our customers!

This week we had an exciting project with The Mildmay Community Centre based on London. It’s
a community centre that is in the heart of Mildmay/Stoke Newington (Islington) area.

We have created a specialised Board of Trustee Governance Training program designed to fit into a normal Board meeting schedule (1.5hrs), which the team at The Mildmay Community Centre decided they needed for their Board of Trustees.

It was a well received training evening with the (new) team there taking away some key learning opportunities from the evening.

Also, we have an ongoing weekly gig with another charity, London Gypsies and Travellers where by we help support them with the admin, I.T. and finance side of things. This is done by on site support.

This week has been the final prep for their Trusted Charity accreditation next week. We’ve been on site finalising documents, reports and ensuring everything is up to scratch in prep for the examiner come Monday morning!
