Seeking to not invest is the first stage of seeking to invest.

Contrary to popular belief, did you know when investors review investment opportunities, they are looking for reasons of why they should NOT invest.

This is the first stage of risk mitigation.

This is a trade off & power positioning plays an important but silent part.

You could say it’s the elephant in the room.

As a startup founder seeking investment, you must play the risk game from a position of power.

Do you know how?

This is what Investment Readiness is all about.

When seeking investment, remember these three key power positioning musts:

1️⃣ Be transparent- don’t be creative with your investment opportunity. Tell it like it is, warts & all.

2️⃣ Be Valuation Confident - provide realsitic reasons for your valuation. Future potential for a current valuation is not it.

3️⃣ Avoid Vulnerabilities - seek investment from a place of strength, not a raise or die positioning. Remember both parties enjoy power positioning within their own roles.

Pitching & therefore due diligence, is a two way street.

As a , when you’re in front of investors you’re pitching to them.

When investors express an initial interest in your investment opportunity, they’re pitching to you.

Both parties have now entered the due diligence stage.

Being investment ready means knowing the dynamics of the fundraising process for best positioning.

Most entrepreneurs seeking investment believe due diligence is only for investors & feel intimidated asking questions in return.

Don’t let stage fright hold you back.

Growing your business demands you to be bold, even if you feel shaken up inside.

The world’s most famous feel stage fright/imposter syndrome often, yet they keep performing & achieving their goals.

I’m sure you’ve heard of performers getting butterflies in their stomach just before going on stage, courts or the field even if they’re seasoned artists or sportspeople.

It’s what makes them perform their best.

Once they’re in the flow’ & adrenalin kicks in, the 🦋butterflies have flown away.

All that’s left is a charged audience.

Become one with your stage fright and perform.

Do you own a business?

Does ‘too expensive’ factor in your dictionary?

If it does, then you will limit the growth of your own business because you won’t ever feel your products or services are worth charging more for.

You won’t charge more because you don’t have confidence in yourself & your chosen path to achieving your goals. As a result, you won’t buy at higher price points because you’ve chosen not to reframe your money mindset.

‘Too expensive’ is a limiting belief that will keep you from recognising money is an abundant facilitator but you want to keep it at arms length.

Should you then complain, over the choices you’re making, that directly affect your finances?
