Chirag Sen is the brother of Lakshya Sen. 🏸

Ranked in the top 100 currently, he seems an unorthodox player, which is totally great.

Chirag Sen lost this match to Belgium's rising star / - but it was not for the lack of trying.

Scandinavians rally it out, but the Dane did not see that last shot from the Swede.

Once upon a time, Sweden produced quite a few high-level badminton players.

Hopefully, we'll see many more great Swedish players on the various circuits in the coming years.

Anyhow, in this rally, Bjorkler of Sweden got the better of Ditlev Jaeger Holm of Denmark. The Dane went on to win the match at the Dutch Open.

So sad - badminton has been removed from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2026. 😢

Interestingly, the organizers have found that NETBALL must be included whilst badminton, hockey, and shooting, for example, will not.

It is a travesty!

Badminton England is deeply disappointed to receive confirmation that badminton, one of the most popular, inclusive and accessible participation sports in this country, has not been selected to feature as part of a significantly reduced Commonwealth Games programme in Glasgow 2026. Is Lin Dan really that good?

It's only been a few years since Lin Dan retired and most would say he is the GOAT of badminton. Total domination for a whoel career.

But how does he compare to other athletes?

Lin Dan retired with 66 career titles with an 83% win ratio!

Roger Federer retired with 103 titles and a 82% win ratio...

Tiger woods earned 110 titles!

Ronnie O'Sullivan is widely known as the greatest snooker player ever with 38 ranking titles and 20 triple crowns.

Michael Phelps is the greatest Olympian ever with 23 gold medals from 4 Olympics. This is obviously down to the numerous disciplines in swimming, with Lin Dan only winning 2 gold medals, Phelps eclipses him. Overall Phelps won 66 titles in his career.

So how do you think Super Dan compares?

The one to watch in men's singles: Alex Lanier from France.

Born in 2005, he is the most promising young player to enter the top 32 on the BWF men's singles world ranking.

While pursuing his badminton dreams full throttle, he is also enrolled at Sorbonne University, studying formal sciences.
