"I find no basis for a charge against him."

But the crowd was relentless. Pilate, aware of the Passover custom to release a prisoner, offered them a choice: Jesus or Barabbas, a notorious criminal. The crowd shouted, "No, not him! Give us Barabbas!" And so, Jesus was condemned to the fate that awaited Him: crucifixion.

As we reflect on this pivotal moment, we recognize that Jesus willingly faced condemnation, not just before Pilate but ultimately on the cross. His sacrifice became the cornerstone of our faith—a truth that echoes through the ages.

In the scripture of Luke 9:46, we find the disciples embroiled in a debate over who among them is the greatest⁶. This mirrors our own social media interactions, where we often want recognition and status. Yet, Jesus introduces a child into their midst, teaching that true greatness lies in welcoming the humble and the innocent.

Psalm 22:24 speaks to the Lord's attentiveness to the suffering of the afflicted, never turning His face away from their cries for help.This serves as a powerful reminder that our online actions should extend beyond self-promotion to genuine compassion and support for those in need.

Theodore Roosevelt's words, "Comparison is the thief of joy," resonate deeply in this context. As we navigate the digital landscape, let's remember that our worth isn't determined by metrics of comparison but by our capacity to serve and uplift others.

Let us strive to be present in the 'arena' of life, as Roosevelt encouraged, and find joy not in comparison but in the unique contributions we make to the world.

Gathered in His Presence”
If you gathered at church today you are encouraged. If you did not let’s read scripture at home with our families.

We are reminded of a powerful promise found in the Holy Scriptures, in the book of Matthew, chapter 18, verse 20. It says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."

This verse is a profound reminder that we are never alone. When we gather, whether it be in a church, a home, or even online, we do so in the name of Jesus Christ. And in doing so, we invite His presence into our midst.

The beauty of this promise is that it doesn’t require a grand assembly or a specific location. It simply requires hearts united in His name. It’s in these gatherings that we find strength, support, and the shared joy of fellowship.

As we approach the Easter season, a time of reflection and celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, let us hold this promise close to our hearts. Let us gather, not just in physical spaces, but in spirit and in truth, to worship and to pray.

And as we do, let us be mindful of the presence of God among us. For it is in His presence that we find peace that surpasses understanding, love that knows no bounds, and hope for eternity.
