The London Forum kicks off on Monday, 14 October. We are excited to welcome many of you in person.
For those unable to attend or to travel, we live-stream our proceedings.
With over one and a half billion people voting in 2024, this year we will focus on the threat Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference poses to the democratic process. Joining this first discussion are Filip Grzegorzewski, European External Action Service, Jonny Hall, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Laura Brincourt, VIGINUM, France, Vukosava Crnjanski, Centre for Research, Transparency and Accountability, Serbia and Kenddrick Chan, LSE Ideas.
While the war continues to devastate Ukraine, we discuss how information manipulation is weaponised on the battlefield with Daryna Harib, Centre for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine and Professor Andrew Wilson, UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
In 2023, we discussed collective responses in the G7 framework. This year we look at the potential of new partnerships with Justin Arenstein, Code for Africa, Dr Joana de Deus Pereira, RUSI Europe and Tom Southern, Centre or Information Resilience, UK.
In a first for the London FIMI Forum, we partner with the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) leading the EU-funded Countering Foreign Interference (CFI) project delve into FIMI threats the point of view of traditional defence. Joining this discussion are: Dr. Nad’a Kovalčíková, EUISS, Sabrina Spieleder, NATO, Carrie Goux, U.S. Department of State and Margarita Akhvlediani, GO Group Media / JAMnews, Georgia.
