We're super excited to announce the other half of our cast!
Our character Alex will be played by Alex Britt. Alex does a great job at bringing out the softer side of the character, while still giving us funny and energetic moments. We can't wait for you to see his performance when the film is released in May!

We're very excited to announce one half of our cast!
Our character Chris will be played by Claire Driver. We loved Claire's audition and felt that she embodied the character really well, bringing a good balance of emotion and comedy. We're very happy to have her on board this project and can't wait for you to see her on screen.

Meet Alex!
Early on in pre-production, we drew up some sketches of our characters and gave them backstories to make them feel more real. Here's what we came up with:
Alex is a cheeky and sarcastic young man who unfortunately died recently. In life, he was very family-orientated, helping his mum around the house and looking after his little brother while she worked. He now spends his time following the random lady who was there when he died.

Meet Chris, our main character!
Early on in pre-production, we drew up some sketches of our characters and gave them backstories to make them feel more real. Here's what we came up with.
Chris never married or had children. She likes things to be done in a particular way and gets easily flustered when her routine is broken up, so the lack of partner and children to mess things up suited her just fine. However, her quiet and introverted lifestyle has started to create feelings of loneliness, meaning that when a nineteen-year-old boy dies right in front of her, she takes it very hard. Wrapped up in her own feelings of guilt, injustice and grief, she takes a trip to Devon in the hope of escaping everything.

A not-so-quiet getaway

Hi, I'm Georgia, the Producer!
My job is to organise everything related to the film, from the initial ideas through to the finished product. My biggest challenge is getting all our cast, crew and equipment to Devon safely, while following COVID-19 guidelines. Along with Henry, our COVID supervisor, we have planned mitigations such as spreading the cast and crew among a number of cars and using PVC screens to separate households, along with usual procedures of mask wearing and frequent hand washing.

Hi, I'm Amy, the Director!
I'm very excited to be making this film. After a very difficult year, we're hoping to bring some smiles to people's faces. What Happens In Devon balances comedy with heartwarming moments that everyone in the audience will be able to enjoy and relate to.
The idea for this film came together after seeing some of the stunning landscapes that Devon has to offer, and I can't wait for you to see them on screen!

Chris, a 50 year old woman, arrives in Devon looking for a quiet coastal break. However, her plans are ruined by the re-appearance of Alex, a young, happy-go-lucky ghost. As Alex drags Chris out to explore Devon, they talk about the circumstances surrounding his death.
