'Meow' was spotted in autumn 2021 hiding in the undergrowth or making a quick retreat at the sight of a human being. She was extremely nervous and cautious but she soon cottoned on to the daily 'Whiskas for breakfast' idea, which we left for her in the barn. With a bit of all-round patience she seems to have become our resident studio cat.

A week ago, on April 20th, she had 4 kittens in one of our stables.

I had the privilage of recording this beautiful album for June Tabor in 2011. It was recorded live at Red Kite Studio with the addition of very few overdubs. For the ‘geeks’ out there, I used my Neumann U47 to record June’s vocal.

The brilliant musicians accompanying June were:

Andy Cutting - Diatonic Accordion
Tim Harries - Double Bass
Huw Warren - Piano
Mark Emerson - Viola and Violin
