Launch update:

Those of you who have been following our progress will most likely be aware of what has been achieved so far.

For our new followers, firstly welcome.

One of the big obstacles has been voice issues when trying to play the station on Google and Alexa smart speakers. We have always believed the future of radio is via smart speakers. The two big players are Alexa and Google. Previously the station would work on Alexa and not Google. This is far from Ideal, so with continued tech support from both companies, they have both confirmed a command that works on both.

Give it a go for yourself. (leaving a comment confirming it's working for you would help us)

Simplicity is the key, and with this command, you should not need to enable 3rd party apps. As a result of this, we will be rebranding as Lisburn Live Radio moving forward.

A lot of really important stuff has been completed in the past few months with the most exciting being the Launch of DAB+ in Lisburn & Belfast, and tomorrow Monday the 15th of July Lisburn Live will be available in Newry and Mourne on DAB+ also

We are still on the lookout for like-minded people who would like to volunteer their time. Absolutely no experience is required as full radio broadcasting training will be offered. Message the page to show your interest.

Having said how far the station launch has progressed we still have a bit left to do yet. At this stage, I am pleased to inform you that the official launch of Lisburn Live Radio will be this December.

I will post a monthly update between now and then, and in the meantime continue to play back-to-back feel-good songs across the City.

Tomorrow marks another milestone in our quest to provide Feel Good Community Radio for all, as we will be available on Dab + in Newry, Banbridge and surrounding areas.

It's most likely you will need to retune your car radio and add us to your preset. This means you can listen to us across Newry & Mourne

We would like to give you an update on how things are progressing with the launch of the station. The testing of our DAB signal is continuing, with any issues being identified and fixed.

We have noticed over the past few months that some of you guys are having issues listening to us on your smart speakers. The station plays for some on Alexa and not for others. Of course, this is not ideal as we want to make it really easy to listen to us without having to enable additional apps etc.

After a few months of testing, we are pleased to announce we now have a simple new way to listen to us on both Alexa and Google devices.

To give it a go please say "Play Lisburn Live Radio"

Once we work out a few final technical issues we will be in a position to officially launch the station, we are passionate about our new local station and want to get things right from the start so thanks for sticking with us.
