Something relatively simple and easy often gets overlooked or paid minimal attention to. First impressions are key, whether you like it or not, image is a huge factor for online presence.
Strip it back, would you walk into a shop that's not clean and tidy? Would you shake hands and be willing to do business with someone who turned up to your office un-presented?
Some simple bits can be done to improve your online presence for yourself, staff, and your company.
📱 Use a clear image in relatively formal wear (not one partying in ibiza). Take your photo against a plain back drop or out of focus back ground.
📱 Keep it simple in the header. Try not to bombard this with lots of text. If you wish to use an image, ensure it is positioned for the main focal point, and optimise for the relevant platform. (see previous post for platform optimisation sizes).
📱 Try and keep brand uniformity where possible by being consistent with colour schemes, fonts, and logos. This will improve your brand recognition.
📱 Ensure your contact details are up to date, and external links are not broken.
It may seem like a daunting task, but having a professional profile on platforms such as Linked In are key for your business.
