Now playing: a gem from the incredible Garage Rock compilation Fuzz, Flaykes, & Shakes Vol. 1. Here's Breathe in my Ear by The Shags. They released 7 singles between 1964 and 67 for various labels, and opened gigs for The Lovin' Spoonful and The Byrds. This organ + fuzz fest was their swan song.
Now playing : Wait "by" Frankie Vaughan (Philips, 1965). I love this cover of the Rubber Soul track getting a big orchestral makeover by popular '50s and '60s crooner Vaughan, overseen by arranger maestro Ivor Raymonde.
funk meets disco!
Now playing: Good, Good Feelin' by War (mca, 1979). Love this recent discovery by these West Coast funksters. They deliver that sweet spot where funk meets disco.

This is Absolutely Right by Tailfeather, a chazza find from a few years ago. It's quite obscure, not on Discogs, but is mighty funky!
