The Book Guild

The Book Guild An independent publisher delivering quality partnership and mainstream book publishing services. Submissions must therefore be commercial in nature.

An independent partnership and commercial publisher that publishes about 170 titles a year. We offer both traditional and partnership publishing, with all our titles being fully or co-funded by the company. We do not offer a self-publishing service, but authors may be asked to contribute to the publication of a book in some way, with the Book Guild funding the rest. The Book Guild has acquired a s

olid reputation for publishing books across all genres since its establishment over 35 years ago. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts in all genres for consideration. Submissions from agents are accepted but an agent is not essential, we accept author submissions direct. All submissions will first be considered for a traditional publishing model; if we do not feel that a manuscript is suitable for our traditional publishing programme, we will then consider it for some form of partnership publishing.

We're delighted to announce that People's Choice has been nominated for the Fabulous Book Awards!

This award is unique because the list is based on pupil nominations and every vote comes from pupils themselves, making the awards a true reflection of the stories that have captured young readers' imaginations.

Litty has been invited up for the awards ceremony in March - how exciting! We wish both her and People's Choice the best of luck πŸ€žπŸ‘

A happy throwback to Charles Searle's book signing at Waterstones Carlisle in November πŸ₯³

The Hooded Man was published in October, and it's another great book for the historical fiction fans: set in 1937 France, a war hero is blackmailed into spying for the state to stop a terrorist coup. Torn between duty and conscience, he navigates a perilous world of betrayal, espionage, and shifting loyalties in a desperate bid to save the Republic from enemies on both extremes ✨

We're delighted that Charles had a brilliant event πŸ₯³
