Can you help?

Witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought by detectives investigating a serious collision in Kirby Muxloe on Sunday (2 November).

Police were called to the junction of Desford Lane, Desford Road and Hedgerow Lane just before 2pm following a report of a collision involving a blue Seat Ibiza and red MG ZS.

Two women in their 60s and 30s who were in the MG were taken to hospital, where they currently remain, to be treated for serious injuries. The driver of the Seat – a 19-year-old man – was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening or life changing.

No-one was arrested but enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision are continuing.

Detective Constable Emma Neeves, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand as I believe they may have information that could help.

“I’d also like to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and has a dashcam in their vehicle. Please get in touch if you think you can assist us.”
