🎉 Huge Congratulations to Ava! 🎉

We are absolutely overjoyed to announce that our incredible head girl and acro teacher, Ava, has been offered a place on her first choice degree course at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance! Ava auditioned on 10th December 2024 and was one of the very first successful candidates selected to begin this exciting journey in September 2025. 🌟

Ava's passion for contemporary dance is truly unmatched. Over the last few years, she has worked tirelessly to hone her skills and expand her artistic horizons, and this prestigious opportunity is a testament to her unwavering dedication and talent.

Ava would like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to every dance teacher who has guided her along the way, TLA, and her family, who have always supported her pursuit of happiness above all else. 💖

At TLA, we are thrilled not only to celebrate Ava’s success but also to share the amazing news that she will be staying in Leeds for the next three years. Ava will be joining TLA as a full-time teacher, continuing to share her passion for acro and contemporary dance and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

🎄✨ Merry Christmas from Theatre Led Arts! ✨🎄

As 2025 approaches, Jennifer and I would like to wish all our students, parents, volunteers, and practitioners a truly wonderful Christmas and holiday season.

What an incredible year we’ve had at TLA! From outstanding LAMDA/Singing exam results to the sheer creativity of our 3 Plays in a Day, the magic of the Tinies and Juniors Annual Show, the festive cheer of our Christmas Concert, and the exciting growth of our community with additional classes due to popular demand—this year has been one to remember!

Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be even more thrilling! We’re gearing up for our bi-annual show, BACK ON STAGE, where talent from our Intermediates to Graduates will shine, showcasing their incredible musical theatre skills. Alongside this, ongoing training and exciting new developments across the dance platform will ensure there’s something for everyone to grow and thrive.

To all our students and parents of leavers who’ve pursued their dreams in various fields—we miss you dearly but cherish every message you send to stay in touch. Your stories inspire us and remind us of the powerful family spirit that TLA holds.

We are proud of all our students, but especially when they put in extra work to achieve at external exams too.

So are thrilled to be able to send Congratulations to Angel (one of our Graduates) who achieved a Distinction in her recent Grade 4 London College of Music Examinations Musical Theatre (singing) exam!!

This is the 3rd Distinction (at various grades) our students have achieved (Graduates Ava & Gabby being the first two) following their private singing lessons with our awesome Vocal Coach (singing teacher) Becca!

So much hard work goes into each of these exams and it's a testament to both teacher and student when they get such amazing results, and we can't wait to watch them all continue to dream, perform and achieve 😃
.. in line with LAMDA exams those completing Bronze, Silver, & Gold (grades 6-8) also get valuable UCAS points to help them in their future higher education journeys too 🎓

🎭 Exciting News from Theatre Led Arts! 🎭

We are absolutely thrilled to share that our former head boy and exceptional talent, Euan Krasinski, is making waves in the theatre world! Euan, now studying Drama and Film at Manchester University, has just performed in his very first play, Wild Swimming – and it’s already turning heads! 🌟

What makes this achievement even more incredible? Euan is the only first-year student to be selected for this prestigious project, working on a two-hander play alongside a talented third-year graduate. It’s no surprise to us that his passion and dedication have set him apart!

The play has already received rave reviews (link below), showcasing just how bright Euan's future is. This is the perfect example of what Theatre Led Arts is all about: nurturing talent, inspiring passion, and proving that with hard work and determination, greatness is inevitable.

We are so proud of Euan and can’t wait to see what he achieves next. Congratulations, Euan – the stage is truly yours! 🌟

This has been a long time in the making... as a school we champion as much support as we can and have helped many families over the years to this date, accumulating over £120,000 in scholarships. Becoming a not for profit organisation was always the long term goal and having achieved that, we now have our sights set much higher on creating our own designated space! Whilst we continue to fundraise for the stars of the future and their families, in turn we also want them to train in the best facilities possible!
There is no pressure to donate, but we would love it, if you could share from our main facebook TLA page and spread the word!

🎭✨ What an incredible year it's been at Theatre Led Arts! 🎭

✨As the academic year of 2024 has drawn to a close, we're reflecting on a whirlwind of a year filled with creativity, passion, and remarkable achievements.

Our talented performers dazzled audiences with captivating drama plays, and we proudly hosted two spectacular Raise Your Voice performances that left everyone in awe.

We are thrilled to announce that we successfully completed three sets of LAMDA exams with a phenomenal 100% pass rate! A special shoutout to our two star students who achieved the highest scores for the Gold Medal at an impressive 95/100! Our in-house examinations for drama and ACRO showcased the dedication and hard work of our incredible students, and our festive Christmas concert was the perfect finale to an extraordinary year.

From our littlest stars, starting as young as 2, to those leaving us at 18 years and above, each and every one of you has contributed to the magic of Theatre Led Arts. We cannot thank our parents, students, and supporters enough for their unwavering dedication and enthusiasm.

As we look ahead, 2025 promises to be just as exciting with our continued live shows leading up to the highly anticipated musical theatre show 'BACK ON STAGE' in March. We can't wait to embark on this new journey with all of you!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that our incredible Head Girl, Ava, has gained a place in the prestigious Phoenix Youth Academy Leeds (Seniors) for the academic year 2024-2025! 🎭

✨Ava has been a dedicated and passionate student, training in Dance at Theatre Led Arts all her life. Alongside TLA, she has worked tirelessly with her dance tutor from school too, for both GCSE and A Level. Her commitment, talent, and hard work have truly paid off!
We are extremely proud of Ava for being awarded a place in such a renowned training platform. Her journey is a testament to her determination and love for dance.
Ava will continue to train weekly at TLA as always, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things she will achieve in the coming year. 🌟

What an amazing day at the festival with our incredibly talented students from TLA!

Their performances left the audience in awe, and the positive feedback was overwhelming. A special shoutout to our dedicated teachers who also showcased their vocal talents, proving once again that those who can, teach aswell!

The creative collaboration between our staff and students shows the unbreakable unity our school has and the fact that our students matched the talents of our staff, shows how incredible both our teachers and our students are!

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our fantastic students! We couldn't have done it without our wonderful volunteers - thank you so much!!!!

🌟✨ An Unforgettable Workshop Day with Mark Hindle! ✨🌟

We are thrilled to share with you the incredible success of our recent workshop day with the extraordinary Mark Hindle!

From start to finish, it was an experience filled with passion, energy, and invaluable insights into the world of dance.
Our students were not just engaged—they were absolutely captivated! Mark's dedication to technique and finish in both ballet and jazz was evident in every move, inspiring our dancers to reach new heights of excellence.

The blend of these two dance forms not only showcased the versatility of our performers but also provided them with a profound insight into the ever-evolving industry.

But the magic didn't stop there! During the enlightening Q&A session at the end of the workshop, Mark generously shared his wisdom and expertise, offering tips and advice that our students will carry with them throughout their dance journeys. His passion for the art form was palpable, and his commitment to nurturing young talent left a lasting impression on all of us.

TLA and its students expresses our deepest gratitude to Mark Hindle for gracing us with his presence and sharing his talents with us. 🌟✨ What an enchanting afternoon we had on Sunday at The Engine Shed Wetherby with the incredible young cast of "Jane & the Magical Peach"! 🍑

Their performance was nothing short of magical, with their talent shining through every moment on stage. From their captivating portrayal of characters to their seamless delivery of lines, they truly brought the story to life!

👏 Huge applause to all the volunteers, chaperones, technical team, and front of house staff who made this production possible. Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes ensured that every aspect of the show ran smoothly and beautifully.

🎭 A special shoutout to director Courtney Freckleton for her brilliant vision and guidance, and to Jennifer Whittaker for weaving such a wonderful tale with her writing. Together, they've created a captivating world that will stay with us long after the final curtain falls.

👗 And let's not forget the stunning costumes that our parents put together that added an extra layer of magic to the performance! Every detail was perfection, enhancing the charm and whimsy of the production.

13 is definitely lucky for us!!!

Our students took 8 Medals (4 Gold & 4 Bronze) & 5 Grades 2 - 5 .. and achieved Distinctions all round!!!

So much hard work goes into each of these exams and it's a testament to both teacher and student when they get such amazing results!!!!.. not to forget those completing Medals also get valuable UCAS points to help them in their future higher education journeys too 🎓

We're so very proud of each of our students (and our member of staff but more on that later! So watch this space!) and we can't wait to watch them all continue to dream, perform and achieve.
