Robbery video
A man and a woman have been jailed after a man was dragged for half a mile after he tried to stop the getaway vehicle following a robbery in Castleford.
Lisa Jane Burgess, aged 44, and Keith Wilcox, aged 41, both of Church Lane Avenue, Outwood, Wakefield, appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Tuesday, 12 November) for sentence.
Burgess had previously pleaded guilty to robbery, fraud and causing injury by dangerous driving. She was sentenced to three years imprisonment and disqualified from driving for 42 months.
Wilcox pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment.

UK unemployment rate rose to 4.3 per cent in three months to September, says ONS
The ONS said the rate of UK unemployment rose to 4.3% in the three months to September, up from 4% in the previous three months
This was the highest level since the three months to May, although the ONS said the estimate should be treated with caution given ongoing low response rates to its jobs survey.
