Animation aficionados!

We’re bursting with excitement to unveil our latest Masters of Motion animation showreel that’s been brewing in the creative cauldron of our studio! 🎨 🍜

It’s a kaleidoscope of colour, a symphony of scenes, and a dance of designs that we’re absolutely proud of. 🤩

It’s not just a showreel; it’s a showcase of imagination unleashed! (well, we would say that). Seriously though, it does feature a range of great projects we've had the pleasure to produce for an eclectic mix of brands and public sector organisations.

8 crew members, 4 locations, 2 edits, and 1 very happy client 😁

Yesterday, over one day we were filming in London, Leeds, Manchester, and Rugby at an UK wide event for one of our Insurance clients.

This was an exciting event for the company, of which we pre-filmed & edited lots of content and one we can't wait to share with you shortly 👀

Motiv are proudly working with two new clients, building on our continued work within the public sector across various UK Government departments.

UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) are providing £22bn of infrastructure finance to tackle climate change and support regional and local economic growth across the United Kingdom.

Homes England is helping hundreds of small and medium-sized housebuilders to kickstart projects by providing development loans from £250,000 to £10 million. They have currently generated £6.854 billion of income from loans provided to the housing sector that will be re-used for further public investment.

Makes it all worth it when a client takes time out to feedback on a successful project 😁

Our long-term client Jet2holidays required video content for their recent annual overseas conference, so we were happy to step up this year for something extra special:

"Thank you for all the effort you put in pre-conference. The results were amazing!

Nothing was ever too much and the collaboration between us and the Motiv team was amazing in producing some of the strongest videos yet. We didn’t have much content to work with but what you guys produced was amazing. The videos played a massive part in the conference and were so powerful on screen, providing a backdrop to an amazing opening and ongoing presence throughout the conference.

The videos really were brilliant". 😎

We made a Christmas Music Video! With all the trimmings… 🎄 🎉

We’ve had the Christmas feeling since the start of November when our friend Danny Malin of ‘Rate My Takeaway’ asked us to produce his latest charity Christmas music video. 🎶

We’ve known Danny for over a year and we said we’d love to be involved in his next charity project.

We finally got the go ahead on the 6th November, so it was all hands on deck to plan, schedule and organise locations and to figure out what the video would even be about..

It had to suit Dannys' brand and style, organic in feel and look, fun, Christmassy and include local fans and locations.

We had to ‘run and gun’ a few live performances; Bradford Lights Turn on with Heart Radio, White Rose letting us use their Polar Express grotto, our friends at ITV Emmerdale happily letting us shoot in the famous Village and Barnsley FC allowing a half time rendition of the song (whilst the sprinklers were turned on…) 💦

Our final shots were completed, we had a day to finish the edit, and have the screening with Danny and his team (and a beer), ready to go live today, December 1st.

All the songs proceeds to go to Leeds Hospitals Charity, so we hope it does well, raises a few smiles, donations and the Christmas spirit! 🎅 🎉

We did it! 🎉

So happy to say on Friday evening we won our 2nd Royal Television Society Award! 🏆

It was for an animation we produced highlighting the now-illegal practice of Virginity Testing.

We had an absolute blast on the evening, with fantastic company, wonderful food and we must admit, more than a glass or three of wine 🍷

This was a great team effort, all the parts came together so well, from concept to scripting, design and animation to our wonderful voice artist Juliet Daalder’s amazing reading.

For us, this rewards the benefit of how we approach all our projects, taking the time to really understand the core messages, values and purpose of any content we create, but to also make sure those messages are clearly understood by the intended audience to create emotion, engagement and response.

The animation was for a charity called Karma Nirvana, who we worked closely with to ensure that we delivered not just the right messaging, but in a tone of voice that resonated with their target audience, and has measurable results.

An RTS award is a true honour, and to receive it in such talented company is an absolute joy. 😁

We’re looking forward to attending the Royal Television Society Awards this Friday, for our fourth nomination, and hopefully a 2nd win?

We’re in good company, with the likes of Happy Valley, Ackley Bridge & Gentleman Jack up for best TV series. We're there for an animation we produced about the now illegal practice of Virginity Testing.

Time to get dressed up for once, and just enjoy the evening.

We have been working with West Yorkshire Combined Authority for a few years, and we're excited to be asked to produce two 'quirky' animations for a government scheme they are providing.

Below are some screenshots of the first animation. We have created some fun and vibrant characters for the animations that really help bring the video to life! (they make sense when you watch the final film).

We're really happy with this project 😁 and will soon be creating two case study films as well. 📽

Crew out filming at Leeds Town Hall today.

Harry & Maisie capturing Gold leaf being professionally applied to the massive organ pipes which are part of the 2 year renovation of Leeds Town Hall.

We're documenting the works and making a film of the Organ replacement/renovation.

It was amazing to see this delicate process close up. Experienced hands from Robert & Debra who are specialists in such traditional decorative works.

(and no, unfortunately we didn't manage to take home any gold samples...)

We've been nominated for another Royal Television Society Award, this time for best Animation. 🎉 😀

Announced by Sally Wainwright, writer of Happy Valley at an RTS nomination
event last Friday, we were in the company of Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley and Ackley Bridge, plus other great northern talent, as you can see below.

This industry nomination does mean a lot to us.

Our animation about the tough subject of the now illegal practice
of Virginity Testing, is a film that is emotionally engaging and has helped
young girls find support.

Award recognition is great to amplify the message whilst highlighting what the team here at Motiv can achieve together.

Our clients' feedback;
“We were blown away! We tasked Motiv to portray how virginity testing is rooted in gender inequality and how the cycle of abuse can perpetuate, particularly where victims feel unable to leave.

Phew, that's been a few years in the making...!

We first started on this project in mid-2020 and were still creating video assets for UNESCO and the UK Government up to April this year.

So maybe we had a hand in this result?

The Department for Transport has approved a £1.7bn two-mile (3.2km) tunnel from Amesbury to Berwick Down near Stonehenge in Wiltshire.

Motiv produced a series of films highlighting the benefit of this colossal project via the voices of locals, including interviews in London with MPs whilst also creating various graphic assets for cabinet and UNESCO meetings.

On 5 July 2023, the NHS will mark 75 years of service!

Motiv have been working with the NHS for several years across many UK departments, helping them deliver content for patients and staff. From internal communications and software demos to live event coverage and adverts on how to look after your urinary tract!

We had a fab evening at the Prolific North Creative Awards in Manchester last night.

Along with a host of northern agencies, The awards celebrated projects from global creative campaigns to social content, video production and brand partnerships.

From the seven nominees in our category; 'Video/TV/Film Ad: Long Form' we received special recognition as ‘Highly Commended’. And who are we to argue?!
