It’s hard to believe that Cat has been part of the team for a year already! 🎉

Starting with us in May last year as an Intern, Cat become full time with us in August and has become integral to our design outputs, working on multiple projects for St George’s Crypt, M2, Social Sync, Mind in Bradford and Leeds Mind.

Cats eye for design, willingness to help, down to earth attitude and bubbly personality has really helped to make this past year of working with her absolutely fly by and we’re so delighted to have her.

Our Charity Hub now contains our first bespoke tool: A Colour Compliance Checker to help you test your charity brand & website colours 🎨

The tool is built to be as easy as possible for people working in charities to use, understand and improve the contrast of their colours if they need to. As designers, a tool like this has been integral to our workflows over the years and we’re really proud to have one that works as easy as this one.

Simply add any foreground colour and a background colour and it will preview how it will look whilst giving you a contrast ratio that passes or fails based on text size. You can adjust the hue, saturation and lightness of each colour to get it just right. It works seamlessly on mobile and the colours you pick are shareable too.

Colour compliance is incredibly important from an accessibility perspective to ensure that people who are visually impaired aren’t missing valuable content on your website, so give the tool a go (link in bio) and tell us what you think in the comments.

Don’t miss any new additions to our Charity Hub by signing up to our newsletter (link also in bio).

Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health is a universal human right and this day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change so that we can ensure better mental health for everybody.

We speak on mental health a lot at Few and Far, but today is about championing you all to get out there and speak on it; either to help raise awareness, or to speak on your own struggles.

Today is about being open and honest on the conversation, to show that it’s ok to talk openly and honestly about it and to get help yourself if you’re struggling.

Visit mentalhealth.org.uk today to find out more and to get help if you need it.

Threads (the Meta alternative to Twitter/X) has announced it's rolling out a desktop version of it's social network later this week.

This will be a relief to charities (and us) who've already taken up the platform but are limited by only being able to post/interact on it via their mobile device.

There's reports the desktop version is already available in some countries, but a full rollout should be completed by the end of the week. The website can be accessed at threads.net to see if it works for you already.

Elect Her work to motivate, support and equip women to stand for political office in Britain.

Under our Nurture Programme we’ve helped them to refine their website, streamline their user journeys and develop a new resource hub for women to explore their futures as leaders, legislators and champions of political governance.

"It’s been a real joy working with Few and Far. Throughout their Nurture Programme, they’ve been thoughtful, kind and really understanding of our mission and how to share it effectively to grow our community.

They have helped us take the content we already had and went the extra mile in making it more impactful & accessible, whilst ensuring we have the tools to continue improving our website independently in the long run. We’d really recommend Few and Far to any non-profit organisation looking to develop their online work."

– Hannah Stevens, Chief Executive

Week in, week out we've continued to provide charities of any size with our Impact Optimiser service. The Impact Optimiser is a completely free website audit that includes a bespoke report of their website with five suggestions they can action themselves.

All charities struggle with time, marketing budget and digital expertise and this service is here to help alleviate those issues.

This quote is from James' Place, an incredible charity that offers free, life-saving treatment to suicidal men in Liverpool & London. We recently supported with an Impact Optimiser and this quote from Gemma, Senior Communications Manager speaks volumes about the service and how it can help.

If you're a charity looking for help with your website, book your Impact Optimiser today with the link in our bio.

Our interactive piece for tells the story of ‘Peggy’, a character we created who begins her journey on The Pathway after becoming homeless due to a job redundancy, the experience follows her as she makes her own path through the Crypt on her way from living on the streets of Leeds to getting her life back on track with the help of the Crypt and its staff.

Although Peggy is a character we’ve created for this experience, her story is very real. St. George’s Crypt helps thousands of people just like Peggy every year, people who come through the Crypt’s doors and need support.

We’re delighted to be able to shine a light on their Pathway and celebrate how continues to help change people’s lives.

As part of the brand rollout for Lennox, we also created a Visual Language Guide to help their team use the new brand in the right way.

From outlining the brand personality work we did together, to colour usage and photography, this guide is everything they need moving forward for a consistent brand.

For 30 years, Lennox have provided a lifeline for children and their families experiencing the trauma and heartache of a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Here’s some of the merchandise we created as part of our work, including these awesome pin badges - which they actually sent us today. Very cool to see them fully realised.

New Project: For over 30 years, Lennox Children's Cancer Fund have provided a lifeline for children and their families experiencing the trauma and heartache of a childhood cancer diagnosis. 🎗

They approached us in-need of a new website to help move them forward, but through getting to know them more we realised they needed help with their brand too - they were low on confidence with their current brand and didn't feel like it resonated with their audience or with potential high-value donors.

We did a full brand overhaul to renew their confidence, and in-turn created a powerful, new website for them to be able to manage their own content, stories and campaigns on their own.

Our partnership with Lennox is still continuing and is stronger than ever, and we can't wait to show you all more of the work we've been doing for such an incredible charity over the next few months.
