Yorkshire Children’s Charity is on a mission… to deliver 6,000 brand new toys and gifts to primary schools across the county 🎅
More than 50 schools in Leeds are taking part, with the charity’s Winter Support Campaign supporting the families most in need at this time of year.
Volunteers have been working round the clock to buy, sort and deliver the toys in the run-up to Christmas 🏃♂️
And that’s just the start - with thousands of winter essentials like coats, pyjamas, bedding and more being donated too 👏

Rita's Beer Hall & Ballroom opens in Leeds city centre!
Rita’s new ‘beer hall and ballroom’ is now OPEN in Leeds - with live music, gaming and massive pizzas! 🍕

Leeds folk are now recycling 900 TONNES of glass bottles and jars in their green bins every month! 😲
That’s equivalent to over 2 million wine bottles or 4.5 million beer bottles. Well done Leeds!
The new rule was introduced by the council in August - and is saving 100 tonnes of carbon a month as a result 👏
But still over a third of glass in Leeds ends up in black bins… meaning it doesn’t arrive at a Yorkshire recycling plant, where glass is melted and made into new bottles and jars 🍾
Leeds City Council is reminding residents to “green bin your glass” and tell friends and family to do the same 🗣️
Caps, lids and labels can be left on the bottles and jars - just make sure you’ve removed any remaining food chunks or liquid before binning.
Things like oven-proof dishes, light bulbs and drinking glasses don’t melt at the same temperature, so should be wrapped up and put in the black bin 🗑️ Window glass should be taken to your local tip Leeds Recycles
