This week, we've taken some time to sit down and reflect on the monumental achievements we've made as a radio station. From the incredible places we've broadcasted from, to the amazing campaigns we've been privileged to be part of, and most importantly, the wonderful people we've met along the way. It's truly the people that make this such a wholesome and vibrant community project.
We've also been incredibly proud to use our platform to raise awareness for numerous charities, giving them a voice and helping to spread their important messages far and wide. Supporting causes close to our hearts has been a core part of our existence, and we’re committed to continuing this vital work.
We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every presenter, past and present, every listener, every sponsor, and all our friends running other community-oriented organisations. The more we share, the more we grow. Here's to the next ten years of Surrey Hills Community Radio! 🌟

May 2024 Update 📻
Firstly, Happy Birthday to the Boss! Hope you are having a lovely day by the sea! 🥳
Secondly, at the end of next week we would like to officially welcome our newest presenters. Let's get them settled in first! Don't want to scare them off! 👏
Thirdly, we are happy to announce our second year of partnership with The Orpheus Centre. Andrew and Josh will be joining us for 10 weeks of work experience 😁
Fourthly, whilst we are on the subject of work experience, all our places on our 2024 work experience week are now fully booked. They are so booked up we have put on a second week! We have actually doubled our work experience intake from last year 😮
Fifthly (is that even a word!?), so it is not a shock to you all we are in the middle of choosing a new logo for the radio station! Don't be alarmed! We promise you it will look great on a t-shirt🤩
Sixthly (I think these words are getting silly now!), we hope you are all excited for next month's birthday celebrations. Turn 10 is a big deal for us. It's a big deal for any radio station at the moment. It feels each week we lose another independent, local voice from the airwaves. We thank you all for your support to allow us to keep going 😍
