The Footpath, alongside the railway embankment between Cannon Grove and Mill Lane (Footpath 16), will be temporarily closed from the 23rd to the 27th September. Surrey County Council (SCC) contractors, in co-ordination with Network Rail, will be installing some drainage and raising the footpath level slightly in selected locations. This should improve the passability of the footpath. Meanwhile, the FRA continues working with SES Water, MVDC, SCC and their consultants, on the feasibility of a new combined footpath / cycleway across Fetcham Springs, on the southern side of the wet woodland. We shall provide a more detailed update in due course.

Whatever is built opposite, the Grade 2 listed cottage at Bull Hill Leatherhead will remain a reminder of times past. It's currently available for rent via Patrick Gardner There is no parking - so it has that in common with many of the new residential properties in the area - given that it dates from before motor vehicles were invented.
