Issue 179: The Olympic Preview is here! We bring you Top 5 to watch, and international Paris-bound stars share their training secrets; six members of Team GB reveal their Paris gear and their superstitions. Our staff and world’s best coaches share their predictions, as we reveal the details on this year’s spectacular venue – Les Invalides. We look at key events in the history of the modern Olympic Games and walk down the memory lane with J.C. Holgado who brought Spain their first and only team gold at 1992 Barcelona Games. There is more; we present our next giveaway for recurve and barebow archers, custom Recurve+ string by GAS Bowstrings, and explore two new products for the archer’s workshop, The Archer’s Mat and the Ready Blade by Last Chance Archery. Just a short note to thank our readers and commercial supporters for their on-going support while we get to grips with taking over the Bow International magazine and website from Future, and bring it back into private ownership once more.

It's been a rocky start in that the subscription part of the website
didn't move across to us as expected – but the good news is that we now have all the details in a format we can work with, and Erica Meese and/or myself, Wes Stanton, we will be in touch with every single subscriber via email and/or phone over the next few weeks.

For clarity, we will be honouring the outstanding subscriptions paid to the former owners, and we have plans to enhance and improve the offering - details will unfold over the next few months.

Our next issue, 171, has just gone to press, and will be landing with you soon. Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to publish this magazine that's close to our hearts - and we look forward to talking with you all in due course.

Subscriptions and financial support are pretty much essential to a specialist magazine like ours, so if you would like to extend your existing subscription, renew an expired subscription, or you merely want to check how many issues we owe you, please drop us a message via Facebook or email us on [email protected]

Many thanks to all of you for your patronage!
