Happy New Year folks. I hope everyone has had a great festive period and are looking forward to what 2025 will bring.

Ive been quiet here at the Slowhands Rock Talk Podcast Show as of late taking a well deserved break however I’m are happy to announce I will be returning in February with Season 3.

New guests, new topics, new reviews and so much more.

I also now present a new weekly radio show titled Slowhands Rock Show, Monday nights, 8pm to 10pm on Radio Royal where you can tune in and hear me playing classic rock songs along with music from the guests featured on the podcast.

So far I’ve had previous guests music playing on the radio show (Nathan Bell, Juke Kartel, Ashen Moon, Alcotomic, Peat & Diesel, Anchor Lane, Travis, Therapy?) and plenty more on the way so it’s been quiet but busy this end.

Lots of more cool things on the way and to be announced shortly.

So 10 months I decided to create a music podcast. Would it work, would I be any good at it, would I be able to get anyone to come on it?
And just like that last week the final episode of Season 2 came out.

In 10 months the podcast has had 16,000 views across 60 episodes talking its way around the world (Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Columbia, Australia & America so far).

Unsigned musicians, signed musicians, actors, radio & tv presenters, tv producers, sound engineers. Even had an actor/musician from the Oscar winning Hollywood movie Walk The Line on for a chat. Also managed to squeeze in a few reviews along the way.

Not big numbers compared to other channels but we all have be to start somewhere. Going to take a well earned break for the next couple of months but don’t worry as I have big plans for Season 3. Bigger & better. The wheels are already in motion so watch this space.

Until then I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that has been kind enough to appear on the podcast so far & a big thank you to everyone that has viewed an episode & supported it along the way. It really is appreciated.

Folks, I highly encourage you to purchase this up & coming release from Glasgow band Anchor Lane. I had the joy of being in attendance at this gig cheering the band on & it really was a spectacular gig to see.

We're delighted to be letting you know that the live recording of our recent and amazing hometown show at the legendary King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow will be released on Friday.
The decision to record this incendiary performance has proven to be most fortuitous as it turns out now to have been the last show that our comrade Lawrence will perform with the band, so we wish him well for all his future endeavours.

‘Live at King Tut’s’ therefore represents a closing of one chapter of Anchor Lane and as some of you may have already noticed, we have been working with guitarist Connor Traill who made his live debut with the band in Lancaster last week and who will be on tour with us during October and November, opening yet another new chapter for us.
