I haven't posted on this page for a while because I've been busy publishing my fourth novel, 'The Price of Worthlessness - Petra's story', and starting to write my fifth about young Patsy who was abandoned by her mother.

I'm in between writing my novels right now. I'm arranging to have a final edit on one whilst doing the research for another. So, I think I'll republish another one of my phonics story books for small children. Which one shall it be? Hmmm! Watch this space over the next day or two to find out ...

What a beautiful sunny day. The sunshine always makes me smile. It's very appropriate that yesterday I republished Book 9 of my phonics picture storybooks, Harriet the Happy Hippo.
Harriet laughs and smiles wherever she goes, and it is catching. Soon everyone around her is doing the same, and having lots of fun as a result. Small children that you know will also be smiling as you read this story to them, and add to the reading skills they have already gathered from Books 1-8. Before you know it, they will be reading the books to you. And that in itself is a real joy!

Well, I’ve republished Set 1 of my phonics picture storybooks and am now selling them at less than half the price my publisher did. Before, they cost £12.99 each, which was ridiculous, and now £5.50 each - much more affordable. Not only that, but at present each book in turn is being reduced to £5.20 for one week, so you can give a child you love, the gift of reading for only £31.20. The gift that lasts forever! 😊

I am currently republishing an improved version of my phonics focused picture story books, which provide a fun way for 2-5 year-olds to learn to read - and at a more economical price.
In 2015, I gave a literary agency the publishing rights, but I am going it alone from now on.
There are 42 phonics sounds for children to learn. But they can start to read simple sentences after the first 6.
The first book in the series focuses on the sound made by the letter /s/.
'Sammy and Susie Visit the Seaside' is now available on Amazon at the more affordable price of £5.50 to enable you to gradually collect the whole series and see your children learn to read before they even start school.

My series of phonics-focused picture storybooks for small children published by Xlibris, were beautiful and effective but were too expensive for most parents and education establishments to afford. Because of that, I have recently ended my contract with Xlibris and now have soul rights to publish my books at an affordable price, and market them myself. At present Amazon still have stocks at the old price, but watch this space - things will soon change.
