Dr. Jack Hunter's new book Ecology and Spirituality: A Brief Introduction is now available to purchase :)

"In the midst of dire ecocide, this timely book reminds us that it is also a time of new opportunities for intelligence, passion and idealism in the service of the Earth and all Earthlings, including humans. Part of that process, as Hunter shows, requires loosening the grip of materialist technoscientism on the general cultural conversation. Yet it is also important not to tip into its opposite, Romantic supernaturalism. For those emerging into this new intellectual landscape, Ecology and Spirituality provides an invaluable guide to re-minding life - and, just as importantly, ecologising mind - while remaining thoroughly grounded."

- Patrick Curry, author of Enchantment: Wonder in Modern Life

The book grew organically from various different projects over the last few years, including the One School One Planet school permaculture project, putting Greening the Paranormal together and from teaching student seminars on the MA in Ecology and Spirituality. It is an ontologically flooded introduction to key concepts connecting ecology and spirituality. Evidence and implications from parapsychological research are taken into consideration, perspectives from traditional and indigenous worldviews are presented alongside new discoveries in the biological and ecological sciences, and discussions about the ecological self, telepathy, fairies, gnomes and monsters are all found in its pages.
