This weekend will be busy at the rugby club and Alan is delighted to be playing a part in it all. On Friday night he will be playing music after the awards ceremony and on Saturday there will be a disco after the 10s. Here’s to a weekend of fun, rugby and dancing. 🏉🕺💃

Congratulations to yesterday’s bride and groom, Jo and Trevor. Alan really enjoyed his trip over to Rousay to provide some of the music. Craig Mainland’s band played earlier in the night. There was plenty of dancing and fun into the early hours.
This is the first time Alan has been to Rousay with the disco. He has played in Shapinsay and Westray before. A trip to the isles is always a good night.
Thank you for the booking and for all the hospitality Alan received.

A peedie update on what we’ve been up to recently. We had a really busy February, we started with the over 30s night in the Neuk at The Albert Hotel, that night was a great success. Then we had some bairns discos at Papdale Primary School and out in the Hope. On valentines night we had a disco in the The Ayre Hotel for the old romantics amongst us. We set up on the street for Kirkwall BID’s Valentine’s Day out. It was good to see the street busy that day. Next was a 40th birthday party in the Rugby club, another good night and I think there might have been some sore heads the next day! Finally we attended the Orkney weddings and special events fayre held at KGS.
As well as all this in February we managed to get away to the Scotland v Ireland rugby game at Murrayfield!

March and April were much quieter for the disco. We did a 10th birthday party for a girl in the Hope and a surprise 70th birthday party for a lady in the Neuk. In April we started with a bairns disco in Burray and then a wedding at the foveran.

Already in May Alan has provided music at a wedding in the Finstown hall and at the rugby club on the Sunday night of the 7s weekend. Great to see the Sunday sesh of the 7s weekend getting a revival!

Between discos, painting and decorating, having trips away for concerts and karting and playing football Alan has been very busy!

The over 30s night at The Neuk was a great success. The place was rammed, the dance floor was full all night and we had lots of requests for folks favourite songs. Here’s hoping they have another night like this soon.
