A final appeal is being made for children’s that can be donated and reused.
Hull City Council is taking in donations, which are given to local families via the city’s schools. The donations are then used during the annual Christmas Jumper Day, which this year takes place on Thursday 12 December.
Donations need to be made by this Sunday, 8 December, and they can be dropped off at the following locations:
The Orchard Centre
The Wilson Centre
Bransholme Health Centre
Any branch of Beercocks Estate Agents.

We were absolutely devastated to hear that Beverley Festival of Christmas has been cancelled tomorrow due to the weather. We know how hard the traders will have worked to prepare stock that's currently sat waiting to go. Not to mention the financial outlay. It's such a huge day in the market calendar, the biggest for lots. We know these traders, many we call our friends. You can't leave your friend hanging at Christmas of all times right? 💕

So, we're putting on a bonus market! This will be down Humber Street 11-4 tomorrow with free entry to everyone. We're going to be inside the beautiful, cosy Juice Studios which is above Form Shop & Studio with LOTS of signage. Come down Humber Street, you won't be able to miss us!

Scale Lane Bridge will close to the public from Tuesday 10 December until the New Year, when repair works to its swing mechanism are scheduled to take place.
A routine inspection of the bridge recently identified several bearings that need replacing to ensure the long-term operation of the structure.
However, with several river traffic movements anticipated in the coming months, the council has made the decision to swing the bridge open and engineers have been undertaking temporary repairs to allow this to happen.

Visitors to Hull Adventure Centre will soon be able to enjoy an exhilarating new high ropes course. City Council has appointed High-Low Ropes Course Consulting Ltd to construct the latest offering at the multi-activity centre in east Hull.
The first planned stage will see a unique 20-pole high ropes course that will be incorporated over the karting track at Hull Adventure Centre to give an exclusive experience as people explore and undertake challenging obstacles in the air whilst karts race below them.
The course will culminate in a 100m zip line to provide an exciting experience for customers from spring 2025.
