Applications now open to volunteer at Beverley Puppet Festival 2024! Winner of REYTA Tourism Event of the Year, 2022

Beverley Puppet Festival is back in flying form and is now open for volunteer applications for this July's festival from 12th to 14th July.

"Whatever your background or skill set, the most important quality we seek in a volunteer is sharing our passion for making the festival a truly amazing experience for all” announced festival manager, Megan Browne.

“We have team roles available to suit many different skills; front of house,
accompanying our jaw-dropping street performers throughout the town centre, box-
office, artist liaison, artist set-up and technical support."

“We are keen to involve new local volunteers and welcome back familiar faces from
previous years.. Induction and training is provided and volunteers work in teams with an experienced manager. We can guarantee a weekend of fun and connection”

"While the majority of the volunteer opportunities will be across the festival
weekend, we’d also love to hear from anyone interested in lending a hand before or
after the festival weekend.”

Applying couldn’t be simpler, just complete the online volunteer expression of
interest form by April 30th www.beverleypuppetfestival.com/volunteer and spread the word about this fantastic and fun-filled experience!

After the festival we will be happy to offer references, employability advice, and
signposting to jobs in the arts and culture sector.

One thing is for sure, it is guaranteed to be the most ambitious and inclusive yet as one of the UK’s largest showcases of the finest in British puppetry. Throughout this July's festival there will be free outdoor acts and ticketed indoor shows including at East Riding Theatre, Beverley Friary & Gardens, Beverley Masonic Hall, Toll Gavel Church, as well as on Beverley's shopping streets and at the
Flemingate Centre.

Funding has so far been secured from Arts Council England, East Riding of
Yorkshire Council and Beverley Town Council to make the event possible.
