I am an in-house producer at Young Thugs and a freelance studio engineer/music producer. I can also mix and master your music as well.

He records artists at Unit 45 Recordings, or as a freelance producer, recording wherever you prefer using his transportable recording setup. He has experience recording many different genres from folk, rock, electronic to even brass band. He can mix and master your tracks to

o, all using a mixture of industry standard DAW’s and analog/digital recording equipment. Nick Russell also offers soundtrack composing services, as well as composing for radio (jingles etc.) for a set fee depending on the brief. As a versatile musician he can compose using either real instruments or electronic, using a mixture of DAW’s and analog/digital equipment to compose with. He’s completed 3 years in a BA Hons Music Production degree at Hull as well as taking part in the Hull music scene. He has also recorded many different artists building relationships with them and also collaborating with them/building on their tracks.

When you realise your Soundsphere Session at Young Thugs Studio has been live for ten days... time to make a post!

We played our EP's title track "Dead Bands" and an unreleased song, currently titled "Happy". It was a great experience, and we're thrilled with how it turned out!

Does this mark the long-awaited return of Bedsit? Well... kinda. We have some really great shows to announce, but they're still a couple of months away. In the meantime we're enjoying the creative process of working on our debut album! This self-imposed break from gigging is simply so we can stay hard at work with new material and developing our sound into something we're really excited about.

We'd like to thank Dom Smith at Soundsphere for this opportunity, Nick Russell for the great production job, and Jay from InkBlot Films for the awesome work on the edit.

Check out this new 6:17 track that was actually recorded 2 and a half years ago at my old studio (Unit 45 Recordings). Written, recorded, mixed and mastered by yours truly 😊

"The Ending" out now on all streaming platforms!

This instrumental track was recorded 2 and a half years ago! Originally part of an EP that never saw the light of day, however it now acts as a prequel to the next 6:17 EP that will be released in July (keep your eyes peeled for that).

This track also features; Paul Hurley (member of Rave Machete on Drums), Joe Fletcher (formerly a member of Remenitions on Bass), Casey Stead (member of Bedsit on Guitar) and Jack Gallagher (member of Runt Band on Guitar). Recorded at Unit 45 Recordings (RIP).
