This week's ADELPHI CLUB FLYERS Show is a HALLOWEEN SPECIAL. The Adelphi Clubs current listings are truly otherworldly and, alongside the FLYER, make for 1 of the best editions to date....featuring a psychotic Random Hand track, a Japanese Wearwolf in Hull, Dead Pets, a Sinister Family, a dangerous Hull dog playing Sludge Metal, Tiss Vampiric and the Night of the Living Dead Bands.

Great new show on Louder Than War Radio , hosted by Dermot De Faoite. Playing tracks from the best ‘up and comers’ currently doing the rounds of the Grass Roots Venues now….

Expect the unexpected – including regular blasts from the past as well as the odd chat with those involved in music. WHERE’S ME JUMPER DERMOT goes out weekly on Wednesdays nights from 9–11pm. Dermot is always open to listening to new music so you can mail him at [email protected]

Considered as US Shoegaze ‘outliers’ in what was, way back then, a predominantly UK scene, Drop Nineteens are featured on this weeks ADELPHI CLUB FLYERS Show.
The year that they played the Adelphi Club (1993) also saw Radiohead and The Cranberries supporting ‘them’!
They are releasing a new album in November, after a 30 year hiatus and doing a string of autumn dates in the US.

The 20th episode of the ADELPHI CLUB FLYERS has just been aired again on Louder Than War Radio and, if I had out about me, I’d be plugging the thing again, explaining its on Mixcloud blah blah blah. But instead I will do a bit of public service broadcasting, spreading the greater good and getting a warm glow in the process….
Read this then watch and listen to the videos of both bands Bedsit and BRASH BULLETS….then join me in a campaign to get them doing a co headline show in Lutterworth, just off the M1, about half way between Hull and Southampton (it took me yonks to work that out, make sure you appreciate it),
Warning / not really; this post is the result of drinking in your front room on a boring Sunday. Kids try this at home👍
PS if anyone knows out about Lutterworth let me know. We need details of a local venue, chippy, crack house and posh hotel that will accept smelly punks checking in , in the early hours ta!

This Sundays ADELPHI CLUB FLYER has gone even further back than last weeks, which was from 1986!!! Yep, we are in the 1st year of the club under Paul Jackson’s stewardship, 1985. The brilliant stuff coming up at the club in the next 2-3 weeks has gone a long way to making this show another classic.
Tracks from Radio6 stalwart Marc Riley, a former Dexys Midnight Runners member, local legends a year before they made the most of Happy Hour and Hulls version of Ian Hunter.
I might have squeezed a couple from Bedsit and Ketamine Kow in there as well, don’t need much of an excuse😂!
On Louder Than War Radio this Sunday and next 3-4pm and the Mixcloud link will be going up once it’s been aired.

I was at, at least, 7 of these (Brilliant (ish) Corners, Happy Mondays, Toxic Reasons (bit good), Primitives, Soup Dragons with 3AcTioN!, The Farm( we’re they ever any good, really?), Pulp and Gargoyles. Anyone beat that?
