So last night. The tractor team got together with Sue and Gerald who are devon air ambulance volunteers, who have been helping us send the money to air ambulance.
We like to say a massive thanks to everyone.
We had a grand total of £10,086.06 that we have sent to the devon air ambulance so far.
Well done John and the team.

Yesterday narrow lanes

We arrived at 5.40 at our destination Oakhampton after the team getting lost but not John ! They got caught up with the school run coming nose to nose in narrow lanes with 4 double decker busses but there well practiced skills got them through.

The boy's earlier at their lunch stop at Torrington but now they have made the days destination at Barnstaple after averaging 20 mph !

Long time supporter and former agricultural engineer and farmer, John Foale and his convoy of vintage tractor enthusiasts are on the move again raising money for Devon Air Ambulance!

John will be driving his vintage 262 Leyland tractor for 6–7 hours a day for four days over Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor so we're hoping for lots of sunshine and dry days!

On Wednesday 10th May, our very own, Pilot Richard Applegarth will be joining the tractor run on the first leg across Dartmoor National Park to Tavistock driving his Massey Ferguson 188 4wd tractor - apparently a very rare beast! Give him a pip if you see him!

Day 2 is a 60-mile cross country hack to Barnstaple, which will be the 3rd day starting point for the uphill slog onto Exmoor and a return to the northern slopes of Dartmoor near Whiddon Down. The 4th day, 13th May will be a moorland run down to Ashburton and then the lanes back to Aveton Gifford.

John’s told us his ambition is to reach his target of raising over £10,000 for DAA, because it provides such an amazing life-saving service to the residents of Devon.

In 2022 we were tasked to 27 Agricultural incidents which is roughly one every two weeks and our farming community are a tough bunch - so when we're called to help it's because a particularly severe injury has been sustained.

Former agricultural engineer and farmer, John Foale and his convoy of enthusiasts are on the move again raising money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) by driving his vintage 262 Leyland tractor for 6 – 7 hours a day for four days over Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor.
The entourage will set off from The Fishermans Rest in Aveton Gifford on Wednesday, 10th May and will scale the heights of Dartmoor, cross the River Tamar and run along the southern foothills of Bodmin Moor to overnight near Colliford Lake. For part of the first day DAAT pilot, Richard Applegarth, also vintage tractor enthusiast, is expected to join the troupe to cross the moor.
