At @30, they do a range of health measures such as height, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol tests. They give you £40 as a thank you and pay any travel expenses.

Heidi, a study participant, said : “My mum enrolled when she was pregnant with me and as a family we have always taken part in the studies. My daughter and my husband are now enrolled in their research after he lost touch with the study in his teenage years. It feels good to contribute to science and help to make a difference!”

Get in touch and join in:
• If you or your child were born between April 1991-Dec 1992 in Weston, Bristol or the surrounding areas, you may be eligible • They give you £40 (bank transfer or shopping voucher) to say thanks • The clinic is open 7 days a week, plus 1 hour evening appointments are available • Short virtual clinics (online) are also available or a home visit in the Bristol area • Text your name and date of birth to 07772 909090 or email [email protected] to find out more • Don’t miss out!

We have exciting plans to host a colour run after school on Friday 12th July!

We just know that the kids will ❤️ it, and it's a great way to raise 🪙 at the same time. But to go ahead we need your help:

✨ Do you work for/or own a company that would be willing to sponsor one of our colour stations. In return for £100 sponsorship your company logo will appear on all event advertising and you can decorate the station with company branding (banners, signs etc). We have four colours stations available to sponsor. If you are able to help with sponsorship please drop us a message or email [email protected]

✨ A colour run needs lots of volunteers!! Each colour station needs 2-3 people to throw paint, plus people to run the race registration, handing out medals and help with other stalls. If you are able to help please sign up using the link below. You don't have to be a parent to volunteer, all Friends of the Meadows are welcome!

https://volunteersignup.org/3EREX

And finally please share this FB post, the more people we reach, the more chance we have of getting the help we need. Thanks 🙏🏼

Bin strikes suspended from Monday

Full waste and recycling collections to restart from Monday 31 July.

Following discussions between Suez and Unite, the strike action is suspended whilst union members hold a ballot on the latest pay offer, and we are hopeful that this offer is accepted.

All waste and recycling collections will return to normal from Monday 31 July and will be collected on your scheduled collection days.

Please put your containers out on your usual collection dates, including garden waste bins for those who are subscribed to the service. You can check your collection days on this page https://orlo.uk/Waste_and_Recycling_Collection_Date_fV4Xr

We are expecting there to be a higher volume of recycling. If your recycling is not collected, please take it back in until the following week. Crews will not be revisiting recycling missed collections in the first few weeks, please bear with us whilst we catch up.

Thank you to all for your patience and for storing recyclable materials or dropping them off to a recycling site during this period. We are also grateful to those who helped family and neighbours by sharing our messages or volunteering to drop off recycling for others.

Some services such as the Revive shop and bulky item collections will continue to be paused until week commencing 14 August at the earliest whilst we focus on collecting the additional household recycling. We will review the services and update this date as necessary.
